The filming of the 'New Journey to the West' spin-off 'Kenya's Three Meals' has started.

According to OSEN's coverage on the 14th, Lee Sugeun, Eun Ji Won, and Kyuhyun recently left Korea for the filming of 'Kenya's Three Meals,' the spin-off of 'New Journey to the West.'

As a result, the rumor about the discord between Lee Sugeun and Producer Na Young Seok has completely ended. Lee Sugeun mentioned, while appearing on a show, that when asked about the discord with Producer Na Young Seok, people have been asking, 'What happened?' and 'Why isn't there a new 'New Journey to the West' series anymore?'

Lee Sugeun explained, 'Isn't Producer Na handling many programs? When waiting for the order, sometimes it gets delayed. It's not something I can absolutely clear from my schedule. Since I'm not just waiting, that's why it got delayed.' He added, 'I went on a trip recently. There’s no broadcast interaction, but personally, we continue to meet.'

'Kenya's Three Meals' is a program created as a privilege from winning Season 7 of tvN's 'New Journey to the West,' which aired in 2019. At that time, Kyuhyun picked the 'Kenya Giraffe Hotel accommodation' as his prize for winning the race, confirming the trip to Kenya for Kyuhyun, Lee Sugeun, and Eun Ji Won.

However, after that, due to the spread of COVID-19 and other influences, the production of the spin-off became difficult, and it was thought that the program would be virtually canceled. But now, after 6 years, the production has restarted and filming has officially begun. Accordingly, Lee Sugeun, Eun Ji Won, and Kyuhyun are set to head to Kenya to showcase their chemistry once again.

Meanwhile, the 'New Journey to the West' series, which created 'Kenya's Three Meals,' has not had a new series for over 5 years since the airing of Season 8 in the second half of 2020. As many are still waiting for 'New Journey to the West Season 9,' there are expectations that the next series may officially come out starting with 'Kenya's Three Meals.'
