The group Everglow is leaving its agency Yuehua Entertainment after 6 years since its debut. However, the members emphasized that this is not a disbandment.

On the 13th, Yuehua Entertainment stated, "After careful discussion, we and Everglow have decided to support each other's futures and walk our own paths. Accordingly, we inform you that the exclusive contract will end in June 2025."

They continued, "We sincerely support Everglow's new beginning, having shared many memories together over a long time. We will warmly support your future activities," and asked fans to provide warm encouragement for the members embarking on new journeys.

As a result, many fans expressed concern that Everglow might disband, but the members reassured fans through live broadcasts on social media, denying rumors of disbandment.

Member Onda said, "Just because the contract has ended does not mean Everglow is over," and Sihyeon noted, "Everglow is not disbanding. We will continue to maintain the team; we are simply leaving Yuehua. All members will remain in the group. Everyone is thinking the same thing."

Earlier, Everglow debuted in 2019 and has gained love for its girl crush charm with songs such as "Bon Bon Chocolat," "Adios," "DUN DUN," "LA DI DA," "FIRST," "Pirate," "SLAY," and "ZOMBIE."

However, Everglow has also been embroiled in several controversies. Member Yiren attracted criticism for sustaining a Chinese-style greeting while offering a deep bow to fans for the New Year, and the earlier resurfacing of her post supporting cotton production in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region led to intensified backlash.

Afterwards, Yiren left for China due to academic reasons, and Everglow has since operated as a 5-member group.

Additionally, Yiren mentioned in March through a fan communication platform, "I love the stage so much, but in a way, there is no income at all. However, I don't want to give up this profession."

He said, "Realistically, we have not settled accounts even once," adding, "We are working hard to prepare for the tour because we really want to show the stage to fans. I apologize for not being able to show new songs and stages." Especially, he joked, "Since my debut, I have never received a settlement (of accounts)," calling himself a "volunteer worker." Nevertheless, he stated, "At least I can see the Forever (fan club name) and have the opportunity to stand on stage, so it's okay."
