Hollywood's leading action actor Tom Hardy (47) is feeling the effects of middle age. Recently, he confessed to various health issues, stating, "It feels like my body is falling apart."

Building a tough image through films such as "The Dark Knight Rises," "Mad Max: Fury Road," and the "Venom" series, Hardy recently opened up about various health issues he has faced, including dizziness, knee surgery, herniated disc, sciatica, and plantar fasciitis, during an interview with Esquire.

He noted, "I felt dizzy this morning, and I only got better after taking Sudafed," and added, "The hardest part is knowing something is wrong with my body during the interview but being unable to tell anyone."

He continued, "I've had knee surgery twice, and I have a herniated disc that led to sciatica. Even my hip tendon has been strained, and recently I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis," revealing the traces of living as an action star without holding back.

Hardy expressed, "Everything feels like it's collapsing. There seems to be no signs of improvement," while also noting that he is considering various alternatives, including stem cell therapy and customized homeopathy.

Despite his deteriorating health, he still does not neglect his physical fitness. Hardy is currently training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and recently earned a purple belt. He emphasized the significance of this martial art to him, stating, "Jiu-jitsu is a submission sport. Pride only makes you stronger."

He added, "When boxing, I tried to take a manly pose, but the truth is, I was scared of the men. There was always someone stronger than me," showing a human side behind his action hero persona.

Meanwhile, Tom Hardy continues to be active, having starred in "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" and the crime drama "Taboo" last year. Though his body may be breaking down, his presence on screen remains strong.
