Actor Ryu Jin shed tears over the growth of his eldest son Chan Hyung, whom he has always seen as young.
Ryu Jin posted a workout video with his son Chan Hyung on his personal YouTube channel 'The Most (Cool) Ryu Jin' on 12th.
In the video, Ryu Jin felt a generational gap upon seeing his first son Chan Hyung, who is now a high school senior at 186 cm tall and with a more robust physique than his father. He said, 'It’s amazing to have a friend in our household with such a body without body fat,' as he enjoyed various exercises with his son.
In particular, he noted, 'This is something I want to say to you: my son, who has always been smaller and weaker than me, has become bigger and stronger, and at that moment,' he couldn't continue and shed tears.
A surprised Chan Hyung comforted his father Ryu Jin with a hug. Ryu Jin continued, 'My son, whom I have always been able to protect and support, has grown like this all of a sudden. While it's nice, I also feel a sense of loss as I realize I'm aging.' He smiled while saying this.
In response, Chan Hyung said, 'We should protect you, Dad,' but Ryu Jin remarked, 'Such words are also sad,' bringing even more laughter. Chan Hyung added, 'I still have a lot to learn mentally. I will be an adult next year, but I believe that, rather, Dad should protect me.'
Ryu Jin added, 'So, you should listen well,' along with some scolding.
