The group MEOVV has shared their thoughts on achieving 1st place in their debut music show.

MEOVV (Soo-in, Ga-won, Anna, Na-rin, Ella) held a media showcase for the release of their first EP 'MY EYES OPEN VVIDE' at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 12th.

Having debuted in September last year, MEOVV showcased their unique charms and artistry by applying the distinctive production style of The Black Label. With a powerful start marked by their debut single 'MEOW' and their second single 'TOXIC', MEOVV has received praise for their extraordinary aura and stage presence, being recognized as leaders of the 5th generation K-pop girl groups.

Ahead of the release of their first EP, MEOVV unveiled the pre-released single 'HANDS UP' on the 28th of last month. 'HANDS UP' is a Brazilian funk genre song with a fast and vibrant rhythm combined with unique synth sounds, which captured global fans' attention with its addictive melody and stunning performance, quickly climbing the charts to achieve 1st place in their first music show on Mnet's 'M Countdown'.

After achieving 1st place in their debut music show, MEOVV said, “We are grateful and happy that you liked the song we prepared with great affection. We are pleased to have ranked 1st with a song that conveys the message of boldly forging our own path, and we thank our fans.”

Carrying the joy of ranking 1st in the music show, MEOVV's Ga-won expressed, “Our team goal is to present a different side that is characteristic of MEOVV, and I think we can show that through our first EP. I hope everyone enjoys watching our performances as we showcase them.”

Anna noted, “I’m happy to be able to come back with songs that we prepared from our trainee days. I hope the new songs will be loved as well,” while Ella said, “Preparing for this album has been an incredibly busy time, but I learned how to do well. Therefore, I believe I can showcase my potential through this promotion.”

Na-rin shared, “I’ve encountered many new challenges and discovered new sides of myself. I have a strong attachment to this, and I believe it will be memorable, but I’m looking forward to showing various music and charms. I want to get closer to the fans since there will be many opportunities to meet them,” while Soo-in said, “Our fandom name is also created, and our first EP is released. I am happy that I will be able to meet the fans often. I look forward to our activities ahead.”

Meanwhile, MEOVV's debut first EP 'MY EYES OPEN VVIDE' will be released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the same day.
