Kian84 challenged the Sherpas in "Born to Travel the World 4."
The MBC entertainment show "Born to Travel the World 4" (hereafter referred to as "Travel the World 4"), which aired for the first time on the 11th, showed Kian84 heading toward the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, to meet ethnic minorities living in the Himalayas.
On this day, after arriving in Nepal, Kian84 took a taxi to his accommodation. Kian84 conversed with the taxi driver while traveling and showcased a high level of English proficiency compared to previous seasons. Kian84 proudly remarked, "I think I'm good at English," and added, "People need to go overseas for this kind of experience."
The members in the studio admired Kian84 as well. Pani Bottle said, "I think you learned a lot of English, did you take lessons?" and Lee Seung-hoon noted, "English is all about confidence." To this, Kian84 joked, "If you want to study English, let me know."
The next day, after arriving in Lukla, Kian84 met a Sherpa carrying a load larger than his own body and exclaimed, "Wow, they really carry that on their heads," saying, "That's amazing."
Following this, Jang Doyoun commented on the surreal scene of cows and horses lined up carrying loads, saying, "It feels like a place where time has stopped." Kian84 also shared, "It looks like an AI app captured a real village, it’s a fairy tale landscape. From a distance, it looks like a fairy tale, but up close, it's different. I was curious about entering their lives."
Kian84 had to accompany a guide for the Himalayan climb. He traveled with the crew's guide, and he remarked in the car-free village, "It feels like a road from 'The Lord of the Rings.'" After walking for a while, he said, "I can definitely feel the altitude now that I'm walking. I'm out of breath and really hungry. There are indeed quite a few tourists, so there are some restaurants that look like they’re in Cheongdam-dong."
However, noting that he has a local illness, Kian84 expressed, "But when traveling, it feels a bit unfair to go to places that aren't local, I need to eat things I can't normally eat; that's part of the joy of traveling," and he visited a local restaurant that sells a single menu item.
Meanwhile, Kian84 decided to follow the 18-year-old and 20-year-old Sherpas he met at the local restaurant in taking on the challenge himself. He asked, "Can I join you in carrying loads?" but the younger Sherpas declined, saying, "It's going to be tough for those who aren't used to it."
Then Kian84 insisted on being helpful, stating, "I can help carry the load. I'm a strong man." Afterward, Kian84 strapped on a 30 kg load and Dex remarked, "It’s like climbing Everest with full gear" unable to hide his astonishment.
