Go Youn-jung wrote a resignation letter because of Kim Hye-in.
In the 9th episode of the tvN weekend drama 'Resident Playbook' (hereafter referred to as 'Resident Playbook'), the struggles of Oh Yi-young (Go Youn-jung) with Myung Eun-won (Kim Hye-in) were depicted.
Oh Yi-young met with producer Jang Young-seok (Na Young-seok) to receive an explanation about the program. At that moment, Myung Eun-won brought in an emergency patient. The producers were touched, and Myung Eun-won was given an interview. Myung Eun-won spotted an emergency maternal patient while shopping at a department store and took the ambulance with her. The patient was very touched and expressed a desire to give birth with Myung Eun-won, to which Myung Eun-won humbly responded, 'You don't have to.'
Myung Eun-won approached Oh Yi-young and said, 'Prepare for a natural birth.' Oh Yi-young looked worried, saying the conditions weren't right. Myung Eun-won insisted that a natural birth must be done and assigned Oh Yi-young her tasks before entering the operating room for filming. Myung Eun-won's different tone and expression, as she treated the patient kindly, was captured on camera.
After work, Myung Eun-won received the task details she assigned to Oh Yi-young. Upon hearing that they were still filming at the hospital, Myung Eun-won said, 'I'm at home. I need to see the maternal patient.' However, shortly after, it seemed she changed her mind and called Oh Yi-young via video call. After asking to speak to the maternal patient, she comfortingly said, 'I'm outside because of a paper, and I'm worried. I'm receiving updates in real-time. If anything happens, I'll come, so don’t worry.' She then instructed Oh Yi-young, 'Monitor the contractions and send me a message every hour.'
Oh Yi-young began preparing for the delivery of the maternal patient who was looking for Myung Eun-won. Although she contacted Myung Eun-won about the maternal patient's condition, which had not progressed at all for two hours, she could not reach her. Oh Yi-young urgently looked at the ultrasound and, seeing the baby, covered her mouth in shock. She said, 'The patient needs to get on her stomach, but it's hard because she's still facing upward. She needs to push much harder than now.'
Oh Yi-young called Myung Eun-won, saying, 'The baby is not coming down at all. I've really worked hard. I'm still pushing. The maternal patient is exhausted.' Myung Eun-won replied, 'Now you want to do surgery?' Oh Yi-young continued to persuade her, saying, 'I know this is the worst situation, but I think we need to do surgery.' Myung Eun-won did not listen. Eventually, Oh Yi-young said, 'I'm telling you it can't be done. We need to operate.' Myung Eun-won shouted, 'Are you out of your mind? Who do you think you’re talking to in that tone?' Oh Yi-young hung up and hurriedly ran off.
Finally, Myung Eun-won found the maternal patient. When Myung Eun-won faced the crisis of the maternal patient and baby, she yelled back at Oh Yi-young, 'What were you doing not securing the operating room? Don't you have that kind of judgment?' They immediately headed to the operating room, and Myung Eun-won continued the surgery as if nothing had happened. After finishing the surgery, Myung Eun-won, with her masked face, gave good advice to Oh Yi-young and left her stunned.
Oh Yi-young opened her resignation letter while listening to classical music. In the resignation, she wrote, 'I request to resign as I can no longer tolerate the tyranny of Myung Eun-won.'
