The comeback stage of 'one-hit wonder' High Boys' Kang Yoo-seok will unfold.
The 9th episode of the tvN weekend drama 'Resident Playbook' (creator Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung / directed by Lee Min-soo / written by Kim Song-hee / planned by CJ ENM Studios / produced by Egg is Coming), airing today (10th), will feature a special stage that will excite his fellow residents, led by former idol Um Jae-il (played by Kang Yoo-seok).
Um Jae-il, a resident at Jongno Yulje Hospital's obstetrics department, has a unique background as a member of the disbanded idol group High Boys, which produced only one hit song. He is currently gaining immense popularity in the obstetrics ward with his skilled patient interactions, passionate demeanor, and natural charisma, akin to fan service.
However, his fellow residents, including Oh Yoon-jung (played by Go Youn-jung), Pyo Nam-kyung (played by Shin Si A), and Kim Sa-bi (played by Han Ye-ji), as well as senior residents, had seemingly never heard of High Boys. In response, Um Jae-il plans to unleash his hidden idol charm by singing his hit song at a karaoke bar during their first outing together.
The released photos show Um Jae-il performing at the karaoke bar for his comeback stage, heightening curiosity. His eyes, commanding the stage with a microphone, create a compelling contrast to his previously scruffy appearance at the hospital, sparking a real-time influx of fans.
Surprised expressions are evident on the faces of Oh Yoon-jung, Pyo Nam-kyung, and Kim Sa-bi at their fellow resident's unexpected transformation, which they had not seen at the hospital. Including Pyo Nam-kyung, who is filming real-time footage with her cell phone, someone unexpectedly flips the karaoke bar upside down, making everyone anticipate Um Jae-il's stage that will turn them into Hello Girls (the fan club name of High Boys).
The karaoke stage of Kang Yoo-seok calling for High Boys' resurgence will be aired in the 9th episode of the tvN weekend drama 'Resident Playbook' tonight (10th) at 9:20 p.m.
