Actor Han Dasol perfectly transformed into the court lady 'Aengdu' in 'Haunted Palace,' broadening her acting spectrum by embracing the historical drama genre.

SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Haunted Palace' (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a fantasy rom-com where Yeori (played by Kim Ji-yeon), a shaman who rejects her fate, and the Imugi Kang-cheol, trapped in the body of Yeori's first love Yoon-gap (played by Yook Sung-jae), face the vengeful Palcheok-gwi. 'Haunted Palace,' which has attracted attention by recording first place in viewership ratings for three consecutive weeks at the same time slot, features Han Dasol as the court lady 'Aengdu,' who harbors a secret and delivers a chilling twist, filling the drama with her presence.

In the 7th episode, Aengdu was interrogated as the culprit who placed a skull in the queen's (played by Han So-eun) chamber, but she denied her crime, capturing the viewers' attention. In particular, during the scene where she receives the punishment, Han Dasol portrayed her body shaking with fear and an expression of injustice, while depicting Aengdu's past where she had no choice but to follow the schemes of Poongsan (played by Kim Sang-ho) to survive, evoking pity.

Ultimately, Aengdu faced a tragic death after unknowingly swallowing poisoned paper, shocking the audience. Her appearance, marked by eyes filled with fear and vomiting blood as she met a mysterious death, left a strong impact throughout the drama.

In 'Haunted Palace,' Han Dasol showcased another character transformation, demonstrating an impressive presence. Previously, she played the final villain 'Oh Si-eun,' who wears a mask of kindness in Wavve's 'Cheongdam International High School,' and in tvN's 'Happiness,' she portrayed 'Boram,' who doesn't lose her humanity even in an infected situation, showcasing stable acting skills. As she continues to embrace a variety of characters, expectations are rising for what Han Dasol will show in the future.
