Taiwanese actor and broadcaster Hsieh Hsi-chieh (Shu Shih-ti) confessed her deep longing for her late sister Hsieh Yi-yuan (Shu Shih-yuan), delivering a heartfelt message.

Hsieh Hsi-chieh recently shared a lengthy letter on her social media, adding hashtags #SisterGaveMeTheGreatestInfluence and #TheSisterILongFor, capturing her heartfelt longing for her sister.

She recalled, "My sister was always on my side since I was young. When I faced fear, she would firmly say, 'Shu Shih-ti, you are too weak!' and encouraged me." She added, "I always had to tell her first when something important happened in my life because her advice and support were essential to me."

She reflected on the time she called her sister while hiding her pregnancy news, saying, "I hadn’t said anything yet, but my sister said first, 'You’re pregnant, right?'" and noted, "She was the type who would immediately think of ways to help so as not to surprise mom."

In her broadcasting activities, her sister was a significant presence. Hsieh Hsi-chieh mentioned, "There was a time I wanted to stay home all the time, but my sister said, 'Shu Shih-ti, why are you pretending not to be a star?'" and added, "Thanks to her encouragement, I was able to continue my broadcasting career."

She mentioned, "My sister always seemed strong, but she was actually more gentle and warm than anyone else. I still want to be in her arms," and said, "My sister, who was bright like the Taeyang, you really need to be strong this time. Mom misses you so much. You need to take good care of mom," while comforting herself, adding, "Otherwise, my sister will say again, 'Shu Shih-ti, how old are you still unable to take care of mom?'" which evoked poignant feelings.

In conclusion, she wrote, "People say I have to live again now, but I don’t want to go anywhere. My sister will always be in my heart. Until the day we meet again." Hsieh Hsi-chieh and Hsieh Yi-yuan have represented sister stars in the Taiwanese entertainment industry, receiving love from fans for a long time. Fans who saw her post shared, "The sincerity is conveyed," and "The bond between the two is so moving," while also shedding tears.

Meanwhile, Hsieh Yi-yuan passed away on the 2nd while traveling in Japan with family due to pneumonia caused by influenza. Koo Jun-yeob and other family members conducted some funeral procedures, including cremation, in Japan before returning to Taiwan with the remains on the 5th. The funeral for Hsieh Yi-yuan was held on the 14th at a memorial park. Hsieh Hsi-chieh stated through her agency, "I remember that Hsieh Yi-yuan said she wanted an eco-friendly memorial park if she ever passed away," adding, "We will temporarily keep her remains in our warm home and, when the application is approved, return my beloved sister's remains to nature." She especially expressed gratitude to those who remembered her dear sister Yi-yuan in various ways following the memorial park ceremony.
