So Ji-sub returns to the series ‘Mercy for None’ three years after MBC’s ‘Dr. Lawyer’ in 2022.

The Netflix series ‘Mercy for None’ has confirmed its release date as June 6 (Friday) and revealed the teaser poster and teaser trailer.

The Netflix series ‘Mercy for None,’ which has garnered attention for its unique meeting of actors from So Ji-sub, who returns with intense action after 13 years, to Heo Jun-ho, Gong Myoung, Choo Young-Woo, Ahn Gil-kang, Lee Beom-soo, Jo Han-cheol, Cha Seung-won, and Lee Jun-hyuk, will meet global viewers on June 6 (Friday).

‘Mercy for None’ is based on the popular Naver webtoon ‘Mercy for None‘ and portrays the story of ‘Gijun,’ who cut off his Achilles’ heel and left the world of Mercy for None, returning after 11 years due to the death of his younger brother ‘Giseok,’ to uncover the conspiracy behind his death, showcasing a cold and violent world of noir action.

The released teaser poster captures the figure of ‘Gijun’ (So Ji-sub) standing alone among many people fallen in a narrow alley. Blood splatters on the wall hint at the fierce struggle ‘Gijun’ had to face alone, raising curiosity about ‘Gijun’s’ cold journey of revenge as he seeks the secrets surrounding his brother’s death. Additionally, the tagline “The rules have been broken, and he has returned” heightens anticipation for the impact of ‘Gijun’s’ return, who was regarded as a legend in the world of Mercy for None, along with his heavy yet intense presence.

The teaser trailer released alongside shows ‘Gijun’ running continuously to uncover the hidden dark secrets and the forces behind his younger brother’s sudden death. After facing the cold corpse of ‘Giseok’ (Lee Jun-hyuk) following an unknown attack, ‘Gijun’ officially starts his quest to find the person who killed his brother. With his signature weapon, a baseball bat, he begins ruthlessly clearing out those who block his path in the narrow alley, adding to expectations for the diverse action ‘Gijun’ will display as he punishes anyone who stands in the way of his revenge.

‘Gijun’ watches until the end as people knock on the closed door to escape, facing his opponent who fires a gun without dodging, showcasing his cold demeanor that is devoid of blood or tears, solely driven by revenge, which intensifies the tension. Finally, ‘Gijun,’ covered in blood, says, “I’ll end this, all of it,” arousing curiosity about what awaits him at the end of his lonely journey.

‘Mercy for None,’ which opens a new world of cold and intense noir action, will be released on Netflix on June 6 (Friday) at 4 p.m.
