There is a couple that drew attention by giving birth to five quintuplets through natural pregnancy, a first in the country. The protagonists are 31-year-old Sa Gong-hye-ran and 32-year-old Kim Jun-young. Last September, Hye-ran gave birth to Sae-him, Sae-chan, Sae-gang, Sae-byeol, and Sae-bom after 26 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy. The five quintuplets, born as extremely premature infants weighing less than 1 kg, received treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit and were finally all discharged home after six months.

The couple was greatly surprised by the unexpected news that they were having five quintuplets after five months of marriage. While they were worried about whether they could safely give birth to all five children, they decided to bring all the precious lives given to them into the world. The couple experienced numerous hardships during the difficult pregnancy and were prepared for the risks associated with delivery, but they believe the five quintuplets are a gift from heaven.

Every moment feels like a miracle, and they are grateful for the babies who came into the world with their small and fragile bodies and endured well. The couple, who gained five quintuplets as their first children, feels exhausted from parenting but experiences joy and fulfillment like never before. This program aims to exclusively cover the daily lives of couples raising five quintuplets, capturing the joy and happiness gained through parenting in an era of low birth rates, as well as the story of parents growing together with their children.

#Struggles of first-time parents
All five quintuplets were born as extremely premature infants and received care in the neonatal intensive care unit. Mother Hye-ran goes to the babies every day to breastfeed them without properly undergoing postpartum care. Thanks to the parents' devotion and the care of the medical staff, the babies began to be discharged one by one starting early January.

However, the fourth child, Sae-byeol, has seen her discharge repeatedly postponed due to respiratory issues, causing the parents much distress, while the first child, Sae-him, was readmitted due to a urinary infection. The couple has been tirelessly shuttling between the hospital and home, alternating every day around the clock to care for their children.

Meanwhile, Hye-ran cannot help but feel guilty, thinking, "If I had carried them for even one more week, would the babies be healthier than they are now?" She is simply thankful for the babies who have endured so well during this time.

Finally, after six months since birth, both Sae-byeol and Sae-him were discharged and the five quintuplets gathered in one home. Despite the many twists and turns over the past six months, seeing the five quintuplets together fills the parents' hearts with joy and emotion.

#Parents grow alongside their children
On parental leave, Jun-young and Hye-ran feed their children six times a day and change their diapers, constantly engaged in the battle of parenting. Amid the endless cycle of childcare and housework, the couple only finds time to rest during the short moments when the children are asleep.

In such exhausting days, the person they can lean on is their spouse. Hye-ran, who dove into childcare without any time to recover her body after giving birth, dedicates herself to the children while Jun-young hopes that Hye-ran could sleep a little more and takes on more childcare responsibilities himself.

As the couple begins parenting together, they start to feel a deep bond like camaraderie. While there are many difficult moments in raising a child, they have been able to endure those moments well, thanks to the support of each other.

Even though there are physically and mentally tough times, through parenting, they discover new sides of each other and strengthen their bond as a couple, finding new joy through their five angels.
