The team of Kim Soo-hyun has taken additional legal action regarding the press conference held by the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (hereafter referred to as Gaseyeon) on the 7th.

Kim Soo-hyun's legal representative, LKB & Partners, announced on the 9th that they filed additional complaints against Kim Se-eui, the operator of Gaseyeon, for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, as well as against the bereaved family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron for a violation of the same law (defamation).

The day before, Gaseyeon and the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron held a press conference and claimed, "Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship since middle school, and the late Kim Sae-ron had her first sexual intercourse during her second-year winter break in middle school, and there is a recording to support this," and "The team of Kim Soo-hyun attempted to coerce the informant of the recording by offering 4 billion won in exchange for the recording, and when the informant refused, they tried to kill the informant using two killers."

In response, the team of Kim Soo-hyun emphasized, "Kim Se-eui's statement is a complete lie with not a shred of truth. Kim Se-eui indiscriminately spread absurd false facts about Kim Soo-hyun based on forged recordings and photos downloaded from the internet," and noted that additional legal actions were taken against them.

The following is the full statement from the team of Kim Soo-hyun.

1. Gold medalist and Kim Soo-hyun have filed additional complaints against Kim Se-eui, the operator of the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (hereafter referred to as "Gaseyeon"), for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, as well as against the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron for a violation of the same law (defamation).

As is well known, Kim Se-eui spread absurd and outrageous falsehoods during a press conference on May 7, 2025, at around 2 p.m., claiming, "Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship since middle school, and the late Kim Sae-ron had her first sexual intercourse during her second-year winter break in middle school, and there is a recording to support this," and "The team of Kim Soo-hyun attempted to coerce the informant of the recording by offering 4 billion won in exchange for the recording, and when the informant refused, they attempted to kill the informant using two killers."

3. Specifically examining Kim Se-eui's statements, he claimed, "Five days before the crime, on a Friday night, Korean and Chinese killers entered through New York JFK Airport," "The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, not the New Jersey state police where the incident occurred," "The informant was stabbed nine times in the neck area while getting out of his car on his way to work," "One killer is a Korean born in 1992, named Lee Han-gu, residing in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do, and the other is a Chinese national of Korean descent," "The killers have been arrested by the FBI, and investigation results revealed that the killer's phone had call records with Lee Jin-ho shortly before the crime," and "This is clearly a case of solicitation to commit murder," which are claims that are utterly incomprehensible in light of common sense.

4. Furthermore, Kim Se-eui also spread unbelievable falsehoods regarding the nature of the representatives for the complaints and allegations, stating, "The attorneys from the representative organization (LKB) visited the house where the informant lives and asked where the informant was," and "The couple residing in the informant’s house reported that a robust-looking man of Korean descent, who was with two attorneys from the representative organization (LKB), felt threatening," and "The lead attorney from the representative organization (LKB) also attempted to coerce the informant by phone, which the FBI has also recorded," thus spreading completely unfounded claims.

5. The statements made by Kim Se-eui above are complete lies with not a shred of truth. Kim Se-eui has indiscriminately spread outrageous falsehoods about Kim Soo-hyun based on forged recordings and photos downloaded from the internet, which constitute a grievous crime compared to the crimes he has committed until now. Therefore, the gold medalist and Kim Soo-hyun quickly filed additional complaints against Kim Se-eui and the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron, and they will do their utmost to ensure that these individuals are punished according to law and principles.
