Actor Won-bin's side denied any connections aside from condolences at the funeral regarding the claims made by the family of the late Kim Sae-ron.
A representative from Won-bin's agency, Eden Nine, stated on the 9th to OSEN, "Other than visiting the funeral to pay respects to the deceased, there is no relation."
On the 7th, Kim Sae-ron's family held a press conference alongside the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" where they revealed a recording that they claimed was Kim Sae-ron's actual voice. In the audio file, a woman believed to be Kim Sae-ron said she had been in a relationship with actor Kim Soo-hyun since middle school and mentioned that they first had a physical relationship in the second year of middle school.
Also, "Gaseyeon" operator Kim Se-eui noted, "The informant's wife expressed gratitude to Won-bin, who provided a lot of help and support during this time," and revealed a voice message. In the message, a woman referred to as the informant's wife said, "At first, I didn't know who Won-bin was. I didn't know he was famous in Korea, but I learned about him from what you did. He came quietly. I showed respect. His humanity meant more to us than we could have imagined. I sincerely express my gratitude."
However, Kim Soo-hyun's side rebutted the claims regarding the press conference recording, alleging that it was manipulated by AI and raised additional defamation charges. Meanwhile, Won-bin's side maintained silence but denied any connections other than the funeral condolences two days later.
Won-bin worked with the child actor Kim Sae-ron in the film "The Man from Nowhere." He attended the mourning place to express his sorrow when Kim Sae-ron passed away, shedding tears and evoking sympathy.
