Songs that will cause parents to grab their necks will be revealed on '20th Century Hit Song.'

Tonight (9th) at 8:30 p.m., KBS Joy's '20th Century Hit Song' episode 264 will feature the theme, 'Oh! Hit songs that will concern parents,' revealing songs with lyrics that will provoke outrage among parents.

In the early part of the broadcast, Kim Hee-cheol mentions that yesterday was Parents' Day and asks Lee Mi-joo if she called her parents. Lee Mi-joo responds, "I always video call every day," and Kim Hee-cheol jokes, "I clearly say and listen to the purpose and hang up," adding, "If the call is long, all they talk about is when I will get married."

On this day’s broadcast, the song 'My Life is My Own' (1983) by Kim Hyun-jun and Min Hae-kyung will be introduced. This song is noted for its lyrics that boldly express rebellion against parents, causing outcry among parents at the time.

Regarding the song, which recorded 4 consecutive weeks at number 1 on the Kayo Top Ten, Kim Hee-cheol explains, "When this song is played, parents complained to the broadcast station, saying that it makes kids not listen to me, and there were a flood of protest calls." Lee Mi-joo also adds, "It was designated as a banned song due to the reason that it incited rebellion in teenagers."

While reading the lyrics, Kim Hee-cheol and Lee Mi-joo express their anger from a parent's perspective, saying things like, "It should be removed from the family registry" and "This is ridiculous." Seeing this, announcer Lee Dong-geun comments, "The two of you look like a couple," drawing laughter.

Meanwhile, Kim Hee-cheol mentions his experience of running away from home as a mistake during his school days with his parents. He shows a humble demeanor, saying, "At that time, I think I told them not to meddle in my life when I wrote a letter. No matter how many mouths I had, I had nothing to say."

In addition, various episodes will be revealed tonight (9th) at 8:30 p.m. on '20th Century Hit Song,' including a song that the singer's mother actually disliked, songs that received requests for bans from being aired publicly, and anecdotes about singers who were diligent contrary to their titles.
