Comedian Jeong Joo-ri recalled a time when she had zero income due to a career interruption during her pregnancy.

On the 8th, a video titled "The chaotic 49+ talk of four married female comedians including Lee Ji-hye" was uploaded to the "Not Annoying Attention-Seeking Sister" channel.

On that day, Lee Ji-hye met with comedians Kim Mi-ryeo, Jeong Joo-ri, Shim Jin-hwa, and Lee Kyung-boon to chat. During the conversation, she asked, "It would be good to know the minimum and maximum income," and Jeong Joo-ri replied, "The minimum is actually 0 won." Shim Jin-hwa also recalled those difficult times, saying, "It's negative. I couldn't earn anything."

Jeong Joo-ri shared, "I had no income because I was pregnant, but my income was significant before that, so my pension or health insurance must have gone up. I have to pay for two years ago. But I have no income. So I cried over the phone, saying, 'I have no income right now. I have no money in my account,' but they didn't want to take it out. But I was told I could pause it briefly. They paused it for about six months, but after six months, they took it all back. I thought, 'This is unavoidable.'"

Lee Ji-hye empathized, saying, "That's right. I experienced that too during my time at the shop," and Jeong Joo-ri noted, "There's nothing I can do since there's no income." Then Shim Jin-hwa shared, "The worst was when I couldn't pay rent. I've experienced that. The landlord would come to check when the rent was overdue. I tried to pretend nothing was wrong..." and showed an emotional moment.

In response, Lee Ji-hye comforted her, saying, "Don't cry, you're happy now." Shim Jin-hwa said, "From morning until the landlord grandpa fell asleep, I couldn't even turn on the TV. I was worried the lights might flicker. But then, Kim Won-hyo appeared. So I just ended up marrying him because he bought me food. I was so hungry," she joked.

Then Lee Ji-hye encouraged her, saying, "Shim Jin-hwa, take care because you're giving your kids allowance. I think you're really cool, Jin-hwa. Look at this, all this money, Jin-hwa distributed it. You worked hard." Shim Jin-hwa remarked, "Anyway, when it was really tough, it was so hard, and if someone had told me then that such good days would come in my life, I wouldn't have been so anxious."

He shared, "I really prayed. I wished for good things to happen. But I didn't know it would actually come true. So if there are people struggling right now, no one knows how life will unfold. So you need to stay strong. Don't give up."
