Japanese popular actor Mei Nagano, 25, denied the affair rumors regarding married actor Kei Tanaka, 40, saying, "It's not true," but the two's mobile messenger exchanges have been revealed, causing a stir.
On the 7th, the Japanese weekly magazine Shūkan Bunshun reported an article titled "Nagano Mei·Tanaka Kei's Burning Affair Line (LINE)." Some of the conversation contents exchanged between them were also made public.
In the conversation published that day, Mei Nagano said, "Our bed, it fits us so well, doesn't it? It's funny," to which Kei Tanaka replied, "That's because it fits you well. It's your scent."
In response, Mei Nagano noted, "You keep liking me. It's a big deal because we like each other too much." Then Kei Tanaka wrote, "That's really true. Seven months. It's only been that long, but we’re living too intensely every day. I keep liking you."
In the continuing conversation, Mei Nagano stated, "Your angel is only me," and asked, "Even if I were being chased from the beginning, wouldn't it be possible that we are having an affair?" Kei Tanaka replied, "What should I say to the agency? That's the problem," but added, "It scares me that Mei might disappear in the future. At this point, that’s all there is to it for me."
Earlier last month, Shūkan Bunshun reported that the two were in an affair. The report included details of Kei Tanaka visiting Mei Nagano’s Tokyo home several times, along with photos showing them holding hands and being affectionate.
Kei Tanaka is a married man who wed in 2011 and has two daughters, making him 15 years older than Mei Nagano. They starred together in the movie "And the Baton Was Passed," which was released last year, where Mei Nagano plays Kei Tanaka's stepdaughter.
Mei Nagano and Kei Tanaka have actively denied these suspicions, stating, "We're just close friends," and "It's not an affair."
