Broadcaster and comedian Park Na-rae revealed the details of a burglary incident at her home in Yongsan, Seoul.
On the 7th, Park Na-rae mentioned the recent burglary incident in a video posted on her YouTube channel. When guest actress Jo Bo-ah asked, "Did it get resolved well?" regarding the theft, Park Na-rae replied, "I safely received all my belongings back last week."
When Jo Bo-ah reacted, saying, "(The thief didn’t manage to sell the stolen items) that's impressive," Park Na-rae responded, "They did sell them," adding, "I really didn’t expect to realize that my belongings had disappeared at such an early hour."
He explained, "Kim Ji-min is getting married in July, and she invited (comedy) peers for the wedding shoot. Isn’t it a day when girls need to dress up a lot?" He continued, "Since it’s been a while since my peers are having a wedding shoot, I wanted to carry the most expensive bag at home. I tried to take out what I had carefully put away in the closet, but it was gone. I checked for other things, and they were also missing."
The high-end bags that were stolen from Park Na-rae were found at a second-hand luxury shop. A friend of Park Na-rae discovered her luxury bags listed for sale online after searching throughout the night.
Park Na-rae said, "Among the younger acquaintances I know, there’s someone very persistent," and noted, "I told that person, 'I lost this, and I don't know what to do,' and that person said, 'The thief probably sold it to a second-hand luxury shop.'" She added, "The bags that were listed at that second-hand shop had the same color and year," and stated, "I reported it to the police, and articles started to come out."
Earlier, on the 8th of last month, Park Na-rae reported to the police that she had valuables worth millions of won stolen from her home. At the early stage of the incident, as there were no signs of external intrusion found, some speculated that it might have been the act of someone close or an insider.
Following this, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that on the 10th of the same month, they had urgently arrested a man in his 30s, identified as A, on suspicion of theft and are conducting an investigation.
