Broadcaster Park Na-rae shared the behind-the-scenes of recovering luxury bags worth millions of won following a theft at her home.
An episode featuring actress Jo Bo-ah as a guest was uploaded on the 7th to the YouTube channel 'Na-rae's Meal'. During the broadcast, Jo Bo-ah cautiously asked about Park Na-rae's recent theft incident, saying, 'Has it been resolved well?' To this, Park Na-rae stated, 'I received all my items back last week.'
Previously, Park Na-rae was a victim of theft involving luxury bags and jewelry worth millions of won at her home in Yongsan, Seoul, last month. The high-priced detached house purchased by Park Na-rae gained much attention after being featured on MBC's 'I Live Alone'. At that time, due to the absence of any signs of external intrusion, suspicions of an internal act arose, but police investigations revealed it was a solo crime committed by a man in his 30s, Mr. A, who had multiple criminal records.
Park Na-rae recalled the situation when the theft occurred, saying, 'Sister Kim Ji-min asked to do a wedding shoot with colleagues before her wedding, so I wanted to take out the most expensive bag. Isn't the wedding and reunion the days when women want to dress up the most?' She added, 'At the moment I was about to take out the luxury bag that I had carefully stored deep in the house, I realized that the bag had disappeared.' He noted, 'From that moment, my mental health completely broke down,' conveying the shock of that time.
Fortunately, Park Na-rae was able to recover her stolen items with the help of an acquaintance. He said, 'I told a younger friend, and they searched all night, saying, 'It was 100% sold to a second-hand luxury shop.' And it was really on sale online. The color and year matched perfectly.' He added, 'I immediately reported it to the police, and from that point on, the investigation progressed in earnest, and articles came out.'
Park Na-rae expressed relief, saying, 'The bag was already sold, but it had not been put up for sale as quickly as I expected, and fortunately, I was able to recover it.'
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae was significantly shocked after the theft, to the extent of canceling her appearance on MBC Standard FM's 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio' due to her declining condition. Fortunately, the perpetrator was arrested, and all stolen items were recovered, bringing the situation to an end.
