The 26th season of 'I Am SOLO' has revealed the super unique specifications of the solo men.
In the episode aired on the 7th of ENA and SBS Plus's reality dating program 'I Am SOLO,' the scene where Young-ho received all 3 votes from solo women for their first impression selection was depicted. Additionally, during the 'gold special,' the solo men of the 26th season entered 'self-introduction time,' showcasing their impressive specifications and expressing their desire to find 'my partner' through marriage.
On that day, 'I Am SOLO' celebrated its monumental 200th episode. The three MCs, Defconn, Lee Yi-kyung, and Song Hae-na, expressed their gratitude, noting, 'The reason our program has been loved up to 200 episodes is thanks to the viewers' interest and affection.' Immediately afterward, the first night of 'Solo Nara 26th' was revealed. Gathered in the common living room, the 26th season spent time getting to know each other. Young-cheol, who was chosen as the 'first impression pick' by Young-ja, revealed, 'I couldn't sleep because I had a drink yesterday,' showcasing his drinking habits. However, Young-ja confided to the production team that she prefers someone who can control their drinking, adding a twist. Jung-sook, who arrived in a hot pink car, revealed her surprising hobby of enjoying circuit racing and confessed in front of the production team, 'I’m interested in Young-ho, but Sang-cheol’s looks are my style,' displaying her inner conflict. In response to the solo women's request, 'I want to eat budae jjigae,' Kwang-su took the initiative to cook, and at that moment, Hyun-sook approached to help him. Kwang-su then shared in an interview with the production team, 'Could it be that Hyun-sook sent me a signal?’ expressing hope.
As night deepened, the solo women, donning boxing gloves, shouted at the men they liked, 'You are my man,' engaging in the 'first impression selection.' Here, Young-sook and Ok-soon chose Young-soo, while Young-ja, Young-cheol, Jung-sook, Soon-ja, and Hyun-sook simultaneously hit Young-ho's chest. Hyun-sook, who said, 'I fell for Young-ho since the first impression,' jokingly stated, 'I won’t let you go~,' openly expressing her feelings. Young-ho, becoming the 'popular man with three votes,' happily stated in front of the production team, 'It might be my greed, but if I get the chance, I want to talk one-on-one with everyone.' Kwang-su, Young-sik, Kyung-su, and Sang-cheol, who chose Hyun-sook, all became 'first impression zero votes,' wearing bittersweet smiles. Especially Kwang-su, in an interview with the production team, lamented, 'I thought it was only my misunderstanding, but I feel betrayed,' expressing disappointment that Hyun-sook's signal slipped past him.
The next morning, Kwang-su made sandwiches for everyone. Young-cheol approached Young-ja to request a conversation. Kyung-su brought Kwang-su’s sandwich to Hyun-sook for a 'one-on-one conversation.' At this moment, Kyung-su demonstrated a 'banana dad joke,' saying, 'If you eat this, do you come to me as a banana?' and initiated 'finger size comparison flirting' by saying, 'My fingers are really short.' The two confirmed during their conversation that they share a common interest in writing. After finishing the conversation with Kyung-su, Hyun-sook confessed in front of the production team, 'My level of interest has increased.'
Finally, the highly anticipated 'self-introduction time' began. First, Young-soo, born in 1980 and a graduate of S University, stated, 'After completing my researcher job in the U.S., I have been working as a university professor in Busan for 11 years.' He continued, 'I've recently realized that the most important value to pursue is meeting a good spouse and getting married,' and expressed, 'I will do my best here to achieve this goal.' Young-ho, born in 1985, is a 7-year civil servant at Incheon City Hall, who presented a 'build-up self-introduction' saying, 'I am popular among men and mothers, but now I want to be the top popular man for just one woman.' He emphasized, 'I save at least 70% of my salary,' and 'I don’t smoke and exercise four times a week,' winning the hearts of solo women. Young-sik, who was born in 1984, mentioned, 'After graduating from K University with a degree in physics, I am working as a game planner.' He revealed his reason for joining 'Solo Nara,' stating, 'I felt like I would continue living a repeated daily life until I die, which is why I came here.'
Young-cheol, also born in 1984, surprised everyone by revealing his superior physique at 193cm and that he is a 'calligrapher' majoring in calligraphy. He added, 'I work about 3 hours a day and earn the same amount as others,' impressing the solo women. Kwang-su handed out Dubai chocolates and 'boyfriend proposal PPT' documents to the solo women, eliciting responses such as 'Your preparation is outstanding.' He described himself as 'a sales manager at H Construction, working overseas in Iraq,' and shared that he spent his childhood in Saudi Arabia, which makes him fluent in English and Arabic. Kwang-su said, 'I will return soon' and stated, 'I like polite people.' Sang-cheol, who was born in 1984 and works in the supply chain management team at Company L, mentioned that his ideal type is someone with similar emotional chords, confessing, 'My last relationship was about 5-6 years ago.' Finally, Kyung-su introduced himself as a researcher at Company H, born in 1979, and boasted, 'I own an APT. in Jamsil that is available for move-in soon. If I meet a good person here, I want to live sweetly (in the Jamsil house) later,' demonstrating his readiness as a groom.
The trailer released immediately after included scenes of solo women revealing self-introduction keywords such as 'art auction' and '10-year U.S. experience,' catching attention.
