Actress Seo Yea-ji has announced her return to activity after three years.

On the 8th, Seo Yea-ji's agency, Sublime, stated to OSEN, "I have received an offer to appear in the drama 'Forest of Humans' and am currently reviewing it."

That day, one media outlet reported that Seo Yea-ji is coordinating to star in 'Forest of Humans.' 'Forest of Humans' is a thriller based on the webtoon of the same name by writer Hwang Jun-ho.

The story deals with a murder game that occurs as a facility, where psychopathic murderers are gathered for experimentation, becomes paralyzed, and even though it is rated not suitable for youth, it has gained a fanbase and has been serialized successfully.

In this context, the news that actress Seo Yea-ji has been cast as the lead in 'Forest of Humans' has added to the anticipation. Seo Yea-ji had previously ceased her activities after becoming embroiled in various controversies, including gaslighting, following the airing of the tvN drama 'Eve' in 2022.

Afterwards, Seo Yea-ji signed an exclusive contract with Sublime last June, filed a lawsuit against an online harasser, and appeared on TV Chosun's 'Food Traveler Heo Young-man,' expressing her feelings regarding the rumors. Additionally, with a determined resolution of "I will let it all go," she appeared on Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea,' directly addressing the gaslighting controversy and taking a bold stand.

He is kicking off a full-scale return to activity with his first variety show appearance in eight years, followed by a drama. However, the agency has cautiously conveyed that regarding 'Forest of Humans,' it is "a work that I have received an offer for and am reviewing."

Meanwhile, it is reported that 'Forest of Humans' is in discussions for OTT distribution.
