Comedians Kim Hae-jun and Kim Seung-hye will explore a newlywed home on 'Save Me! Homes.'
On-air on the 8th, MBC's entertainment program 'Save Me! Homes' (abbreviated as 'Homes') will feature comedians Kim Hae-jun and Kim Seung-hye on a house-hunting trip with Jang Dong-min. Kim Hae-jun and Kim Seung-hye are a representative couple of comedians who got married in October last year with the congratulations of senior and junior fellow comedians.
This broadcast will be decorated as 'Save Me! Newlywed Home' with the house-hunting of confident newlywed couples. This house-hunting trip features comedian couple Kim Hae-jun and Kim Seung-hye, who are 8 months into marriage, along with Jang Dong-min. Jang Dong-min introduces, "According to a 2024 survey by a wedding information company, an expense of 250 million won is spent on newlywed homes out of wedding costs," and notes that they will meet newlywed couples confidently looking for homes that suit their lifestyle amid rising prices.
The three of them head towards Yeouido, where the first newlywed home is located. Jang Dong-min introduces, "The newlywed couple we are about to meet is a couple who met at a running crew and ended up getting married, settling in Yeouido while searching for a Han River running area." Kim Seung-hye says, "Yeouido's housing prices are no joke. We also considered it for our newlywed home but immediately moved to another place."
The place they found is an APT. located next to the landmark church in Yeouido, and it is said to be the oldest in Yeouido. Built in 1971, it featured a rare exterior stairway. In the bright living room, one could enjoy views of the Han River and the church simultaneously, and the place was decorated with charming ornaments here and there.
Kim Seung-hye mentions, "For rental homes, it's good to utilize decorative items. I'm very interested in tiles, so I did a self-installation of the tiles in our house," to which Kim Hae-jun responds, "That's why our house lacks uniformity. The number of tiles in the bathroom doesn’t match, leaving some spots empty," raising some eyebrows.
The homeowner they met shares tips for finding old-fashioned APT.s. The homeowner reveals, "If you search for 'reconstruction' instead of 'APT.' in the search bar, many listings will pop up," drawing attention. The program will air at 10 p.m. on the 8th.
