On the 7th, the production team of the movie 'High Five' (directed by Kang Hyung-cheol, provided/distributed by NEW, produced by Annapurna Film) released a still cut of Ra Mi-ran.
The actress Ra Mi-ran, who spans movies, drama, and variety shows, showcases her undeniable comic instincts through 'High Five'. 'High Five' is a comedic action film that depicts the story of five individuals who accidentally gain different superpowers through organ transplants and encounter those who seek to exploit their abilities.
Ra Mi-ran, who gained immense popularity for her role as the Cheetah Lady of Ssangmun-dong in the hit drama 'Reply 1988', radiated an irreplaceable presence that won the hearts of viewers. Following that, in films such as 'The Last Princess', 'Gentlemen of the Spinning and Weaving Department', 'Miracle We Met', 'Girl Cops', and the 'Honest Candidate' series, as well as in dramas from 'My Bad Mama' to 'Citizen Deok-hee', she has showcased her outstanding acting skills across genres, not to mention her versatility in variety shows like 'Sisters' Slam Dunk' and 'Outside the Tent is Europe', revealing her true colors as a multifaceted actress. Notably, Ra Mi-ran, who has displayed exceptional charms with her powerful ad-libs and life-like performances, once again showcases her talents through the movie 'High Five'.
Ra Mi-ran's character 'Sun-nyeo' is a diligent fresh manager who appears anytime and anywhere riding a yogurt cart, living kindly to those around her with her health restored after receiving a kidney transplant. While unaware that she has superpowers, she brings laughter with her natural remark to 'Wan-seo' and 'Ji-sung': "Do I have the superpower of becoming pretty?".
After 'High Five' was formed, 'Sun-nyeo', who boosted the members' spirits with her unique affinity, has yet to have her special ability revealed. Ra Mi-ran noted, "I liked 'Sun-nyeo's superpower. I think she has the strongest ability among the 'High Five' members," adding anticipation. Ra Mi-ran's shining leadership thrived both within and outside the film. Co-star Lee Jae-in remarked, "She truly gives off energy to those around her to the extent that it feels like she has superpowers. Moreover, I learned a lot about life acting while working with her," foreshadowing Ra Mi-ran's major contributions.
'High Five' is set to hit theaters on June 3.
