"Designer Gu Jeong-soon from 'Neighbor Millionaire' unveiled a chair that RM also coveted."
On the afternoon of the 7th, on the EBS and E Channel program 'Seo Jang-hoon's Neighbor Millionaire' (hereinafter 'Neighbor Millionaire'), 'Korea's first-generation CI designer' Gu Jeong-soon appeared.
Seo Jang-hoon and Jonathan headed to the millionaire's mansion, which boasted an overwhelming size of 1,400 pyeong. The two passed through the entrance and a long hallway before facing a spacious study, and they finally met the new millionaire designer Gu Jeong-soon.
The house was filled with large and small chairs, and Jonathan asked while looking at a chair right next to him, "Can I sit on it?" Seo Jang-hoon warned, "Be careful when you sit. If it breaks, you will have to pay for it all."
Gu Jeong-soon noted, "BTS RM also came to see this chair," and Seo Jang-hoon was surprised, saying, "Then that chair must be tremendously expensive." Gu Jeong-soon revealed, "(The price) exceeds a hundred million won," eliciting admiration.
The chair is a work by legendary American furniture designer George Nakashima from the 20th century. It is known for its design that respects the natural state of the wood. It is known as a piece of furniture favored by BTS's RM, and a George Nakashima chair has also been spotted in his home. Additionally, it gained fame as the only chair that the late Steve Jobs of Apple kept in his living room.
