Comedian Kim Won-hoon expressed his feelings about being nominated for the Best Male Performer in the entertainment institutional sector at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards.
On the 5th, Kim Won-hoon said on his Instagram, "Just the fact that I have been nominated on such a big stage is an incredibly overwhelming and grateful moment for me," sharing, "I have walked step by step with the thought that bringing laughter can brighten someone's day."
He added, "I will not forget this experience and will work harder with a more humble attitude. And I sincerely congratulate everyone who won. Thank you so much, I was so happy."
On the 5th at 8 p.m., the '61st Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci' took place at Hall D of COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, where Kim Won-hoon was nominated for the Best Male Entertainment Award alongside Shin Dong-yeob, Yoo Jae-suk, Sung Si-kyung, and Dex, thanks to his rising comedic performances in shows like 'Short Box,' 'SNL Korea,' and 'Office Workers,' which stirred up the online community.
However, the award went to Shin Dong-yeob from 'Jjanhan-hyung' and 'SNL Korea.' Nevertheless, he affectionately remarked from the audience, seeing Kim Won-hoon celebrating enthusiastically, "I thought the truly beloved Kim Won-hoon would win, and I wouldn’t be surprised if anyone else won."
Although Kim Won-hoon had a reason to hope for the award, he regrettably now focuses on future opportunities. Nonetheless, he left behind a humble remark, adding warmth to the situation.
