Namsung will take on its first role as a music show MC.
The agency, Great M Entertainment, announced on the 7th that "Namsung has been selected as the 9th MC of MBC M's 'Show! Champion.'" He is set to collaborate with Jeon Min-wook and Jang Yeo-jun from the group Close Your Eyes as new MCs.
Namsung is responsible for producing and rapping within the group, and he has been building the team's identity with witty lyrics and a Unick tone. He is determined to captivate viewers with his unique and candid delivery.
The group to which Namsung belongs, 82Major (Namsung, Park Seok-jun, Yun Ye-chan, Jo Seong-il, Hwang Seong-bin, Kim Do-kyun), released their mini-album 'SILENCE SYNDROME' on the 14th of last month. This new release topped the iTunes K-pop daily track chart in Greece and made its mark in the top ranks of two countries. The album also achieved success by entering the top ranks in four countries.
In addition, it made remarkable achievements by securing ranks in the Apple Music album chart in three countries. Furthermore, sales in the initial week nearly doubled compared to their mini-album 'X-82' released last year, setting a career high. Moreover, the music video for their previous work 'Stuck' surpassed 10 million views, while the music video for 'TAKEOVER' is quickly gaining traction, surpassing 7 million views at an even faster pace.
Meanwhile, 'Show! Champion,' hosted by Namsung, will air every Wednesday at 5 p.m. on MBC M starting from the 14th.
