In ‘I’m Solo,’ Lee Min-young invites her close friends from school to her housewarming party and enjoys a happy time.
In the 18th episode of the SBS Plus and E Channel variety show ‘I’m Solo,’ airing at 8:30 p.m. on the 6th (Tue), Lee Min-young challenges herself to ride a two-wheeled bicycle despite her ‘fear of bicycles’ while hosting a housewarming party for her close friends.
On that day, Lee Min-young loads her bicycle onto the car and heads somewhere. She reveals, “I’ve developed a desire to ride a bicycle freely, so I took this opportunity to learn.” Shortly after, arriving at a quiet park, she takes out the bicycle from the car, surprising studio MCs Shin Dong-yup and Hwang Jung-eum as it is a four-wheeled bicycle with training wheels. Lee Min-young admits, “Actually, I’m afraid of bicycles. I broke my arm when I was young riding one, so I have ‘bicycle trauma.’
Despite her ‘fear of bicycles,’ Lee Min-young brings the four-wheeled bicycle to a ‘free bicycle lesson center.’ However, she is the only one among the students who has brought a four-wheeled bicycle with training wheels, which brings about a bittersweet smile. Lee Min-young seriously learns from the basics, and it isn’t long before the instructor approaches her and suggests, “Let’s try riding without the training wheels.” Lee Min-young, surprised, responds, “Oh, really?” causing her to have a ‘moment of panic.’ Attention is drawn to whether Lee Min-young can succeed in riding a two-wheeled bicycle with the support of the instructor and all the students.
Meanwhile, on that day, Lee Min-young hosts a housewarming party inviting her close friends from middle and high school. She prepares a lavish table with octopus stir-fry and boiled beef and bean sprouts, and talks about how they have been while eating with her friends. The friends share stories about their husbands and children, laughing, and while listening, Lee Min-young says, “All your husbands are lucky; honestly~.” In response, Hwang Jung-eum comments, “You all are so blessed with husbands; I’m so jealous,” causing laughter in the studio.
Amid the cheerful atmosphere, her friends bring up dating, saying, “Min-young, you should hurry too~.” However, Lee Min-young shakes her head, saying, “I have no thoughts about that at all. It feels like my dating cells are dead.” She adds, “I’m I-type, so I need to be chosen by an E-type, and when I was dating, I was grateful if the opposite gender approached me first.” In response, Hwang Jung-eum expresses concern, saying, “What if too many guys approach you after watching this show?” making everyone burst into laughter. Lee Min-young shares many stories she hasn’t been able to discuss with her friends, spending a meaningful time.
Earlier, Lee Min-young married fellow actor Lee Chan after developing from friends to lovers in 2006, but they divorced shortly after returning from their honeymoon. Following their marriage, which ended just 12 days later, Lee Min-young claimed she was assaulted by Lee Chan, revealing injury photos that shocked many.
Meanwhile, Lee Min-young's special day with her friends can be seen in the 18th episode of ‘I’m Solo,’ airing at 8:30 p.m. on the 6th (Tue).
