Singer Yoon Sang reflected on his "past mistakes."

On the 5th, Yoon Sang, Lee Hyun-woo, and Kim Hyun-chul appeared together on the YouTube channel "Sad Brother Shin Dong-yeob." On this day, Yoon Sang candidly confessed that he opposed IU's acting challenge.

Yoon Sang disclosed, "I have already apologized to IU several times." He added, "This was before 'The Man from Nowhere.' I think I didn't want to lose a gem from the music world to the acting world. I probably would have preferred if she worked harder on singing."

However, Yoon Sang noted that he learned an important lesson from that experience. He said, "When IU's passion for acting was ignited, she received the script for 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.' It made me think that destiny will prevail for those meant to be. I learned that I was narrow-minded and selfish."

This experience especially influenced his perspective on his son Anton's debut. He confessed, "If it weren't for IU's case, I might have opposed my son's music career until the end. I was someone who opposed IU's acting, and I could have blocked my son's path, saying 'Don't even dream!'"

Yoon Sang added, "It was something I couldn't stop. He has been swimming for 10 years, so he was eager to practice as soon as possible." He also mentioned, "My son said there is no such thing as the Korean idol system worldwide. He had thought that far."

Regarding the perception that it might be due to "dad's chance," he firmly stated, "I don't have that ability, and the company SM is not the type that could debut my son. My son endured a lot during his 2 years as a trainee."
