Once again, the ugly truth about the 'sponsor proposal' aimed at female celebrities has emerged. Actress Jeon Se-hyun expressed strong anger after receiving an unpleasant proposal, while it has been brought back into the spotlight that in the past, Jang Mi-in-ae, Jo Min-a, Gu Ji-sung, and others have faced similar experiences.

On the 6th, Jeon Se-hyun revealed a post that read, 'If you know it's rude, don't do it. If you do it again, I'll report it. What do you think of people? Am I a joke?' along with a direct message containing the sponsor proposal.

The photo contains a direct message Jeon Se-hyun received from someone. The DM states, 'Being a public figure, I apologize for my rudeness. If we meet, I will disclose my identity,' and mentions a desire to meet 'twice a month while respecting each other's privacy.'

It continues with, 'Then I will provide financial support. I can pay first when we meet. Payments of up to 50 million won can be made in advance. If you're interested, please send me a DM, and I'll provide more details. I apologize if it was rude.'

Jeon Se-hyun received a DM containing the sponsor proposal and expressed her anger, saying, 'What do you think of people? Am I a joke?' Not only Jeon Se-hyun, but many celebrities have also expressed their anger regarding sponsor proposals. Jo Min-a, formerly of Jewelry, actress Jang Mi-in-ae, and Gu Ji-sung have all received similar proposals. They responded with statements like, 'Get lost,' 'There's no reason to reply,' and 'If you send this again, you'll end up in handcuffs and eating prison food.'

Jeon Se-hyun's revelation has garnered empathy and encouragement from many, while similar past cases have also been brought back into discussion.

Actress Jang Mi-in-ae revealed her experience of receiving a sponsor proposal in 2020. At that time, she shared a message that stated, 'Hello. We are agents connecting affluent individuals with sponsors. I apologize for the sudden message, but one of our clients has expressed interest in you, so I am contacting you. If you think it over and reply, I will explain the detailed conditions.' Jang Mi-in-ae sent a reply saying, 'Get lost, you XX,' which became a hot topic due to her straightforward response that was satisfying.

In particular, the fact that it was not the first proposal for sponsorship to Jang Mi-in-ae added to the bitterness. In 2018, she also disclosed a DM stating, 'If you are looking for a long-term high-paying sponsor or if you are interested, please contact me,' and expressed, 'I can't believe I am receiving these kinds of messages throughout my acting career. Is that what you want?'

Jo Min-a, also from Jewelry, shared a message about a sponsor proposal through social media. At that time in 2020, he said, 'Hey, instead of sending these kinds of messages via DM, spend that time studying a bit more.' Along with this, the photo Jo Min-a shared was a screenshot of a message from an internet user who said to her, 'If you are considering sponsorship, please reply.'

In relation to this, Jo Min-a stated, 'You should be mindful of who you send these to. Do you think I would sell myself for something like that after living an honest life? Even a penny that is not from my own efforts feels uncomfortable and unpleasant,' and left a strong warning to the potential sponsor, stating, 'I had no reason to reply, but if you send something like this again, you better be ready to end up in handcuffs and eating prison food.'

Internet users also sent supportive messages to Jeon Se-hyun, saying, 'What year are we in that we still have such incidents?' 'It's so cool to respond firmly,' and 'Celebrities are people too. Let's respect them.'

Meanwhile, Jeon Se-hyun debuted in 2005 with the film 'Dancer's Purity.' She has appeared in dramas such as 'Chuno,' 'Queen Gi,' 'Mrs. Cop,' 'Five Kids,' 'The Man Living in Our House,' 'Bravo! My Life,' and 'Strong Woman Do Bong-soon,' as well as films including 'First Love,' 'Disappearance,' 'Beast,' and 'B Cut.'

Now is the time for society as a whole to be alert to this chronic problem, not merely to regard it as an issue of celebrities.
