Logo king Gu Jeong-soon, known as 'the first generation CI designer of South Korea,' will appear on 'Neighboring Millionaires' and reveal a success story that even Seo Jang-hoon admired.

On the evening of the 7th at 9:55 p.m., EBS and E Channel will jointly produce 'Seo Jang-hoon's Neighboring Millionaires' (hereafter 'Neighboring Millionaires'), featuring Gu Jeong-soon, the mastermind behind the creation of numerous logos for well-known corporations. Gu Jeong-soon established South Korea's first CI specialized company in the early 1980s and gained fame by designing logos for major corporations for over 50 years.

Her representative works include logos known to all South Korean citizens, starting with Geumseongsa, the predecessor of the global corporation L*, and the logo for K*S, which has been used since 1983 for 42 years, as well as A*call, which once dominated the domestic mobile phone market. Seo Jang-hoon shared a bittersweet memory in front of Jonathan, born in 2000, who said he didn't know A*call, recalling, 'When I first entered university, I received this phone as an MVP prize at a basketball tournament. I didn't need it because I was the only one with a phone when nobody else had one.' Gu Jeong-soon, who expressed, 'I felt good because almost all of the projects I did were visible on the street,' mentioned, 'I received as much as the land price for a logo,' showcasing her high value.

Seo Jang-hoon then asked directly, 'Do you have a building in Cheongdam-dong?' Gu Jeong-soon began her story, saying, 'I was laid off from an advertising company at a young age and unexpectedly became a company representative.' She started her company in Myeongdong in the 1980s and said that the building's lights went out at 10 p.m., making overtime challenging. She mentioned that, due to a real estate owner's recommendation she found by chance, she purchased land in Cheongdam-dong for 2 million won per pyeong, allowing her to build a building. The land she acquired for the sake of working harder has, after over 30 years, become 'Cheongdam-dong Luxury Street.' Seo Jang-hoon, a 'Apgujeong kid,' noted, 'I've lived in Apgujeong-dong since I was 2, so I understand this area very well,' discussing the changes in Cheongdam-dong and the shocking current building values.
