Choi Jun-seok of 'You Have to Run' received a warm round of applause as he transformed from 'the last runner' to 'homework king.'

In the 3rd episode of the MBN 30th anniversary special program 'You Have to Run,' which aired on the 3rd, the 'Duisan Crew' showcased their emotional growth and experience as they participated in a '10km marathon' after intense group training. Notably, Choi Jun-seok displayed a struggle with knee pain and physical limits during the previous '5km marathon,' but through consistent training and effort, he achieved 'homework king' status, earning the 'MVP badge.'

The 'Duisan Crew,' gathered for group training, shared the results of the 'running homework' they each completed over the past month to encourage one another. At this time, Choi Jun-seok noted, "I didn't diet during my baseball days, but I was told I needed to lose weight to run well in the marathon, so I practiced intermittent fasting. As a result, I lost about 4-5 kg," surprising everyone. Deputy Director General Lee Yong-pyo praised, "I was moved by everyone completing their homework daily despite their busy schedules," while Director General Sean called Choi Jun-seok 'homework king' and presented him with the MVP badge. Upon becoming 'homework king' from the 'last' group, Choi Jun-seok cheered joyfully, further igniting his determination.

In a warm atmosphere, Director General Sean and the coaching staff announced the news of the '10km City Run Marathon' kickoff and conducted 'uphill training.' With a steepness of 14%, they progressed with team-based 'flag capture relay' group training. Despite the intense training, everyone from Sleepy to Lee Jang-jun wholeheartedly committed to the 'flag war,' and as a result, Lee Yong-pyo's team scored the highest and took first place. However, in the subsequent 'joker mission,' Sean's team staged a dramatic comeback, overcoming from last to first place. After finishing the intense training, the 'Duisan Crew' consolidated their teamwork by sharing meals distributed based on team rankings.

Bang Eun-hee shared with her teammates, "After my son went to study abroad in the U.S., I lived like a homebody, but running has made me go outside more often, which has become a source of vitality. My son also cheers for me. As my body and mind become healthier, I also feel the spirit of challenge," revealing a 180-degree changed daily life. Heo Jae also expressed, "My family encourages me not to get hurt and to exercise," adding, "My wife must have felt upset watching me being lazy, but since I started running marathons, I feel better," garnering empathy. Director General Sean felt pleased with the changes among the 'Duisan Crew,' encouraging, "Everyone can finish a marathon; it’s just a matter of how long it takes to get there," while reiterating that "effort does not betray."

After completing their first group training, the 'Duisan Crew' entered the 'couple run' training, where pairs of two joined hands and ran together. During this session, the couple formed by Sleepy and Jo Jin-hyeong admitted, "This is the first time we’re talking to each other," and "Honestly, I don't like (the other person)," revealing their discomfort. However, after completing the high-intensity 'couple run,' they both expressed, "We want to do this again next time," showing concern for each other and providing a twist of humor. As two became one in spirit and challenged their limits in the 'couple run' training, Son Jung-eun and Jeong Ho-young claimed first place, with all 16 participants finishing their training injury-free, creating a warm atmosphere.

Two weeks later, the 'Duisan Crew' officially participated in the 'Seoul Urban 10km Marathon.' Gathering at Gwanghwamun Square from early morning, the 'Duisan Crew' stood at the starting line among over 15,000 citizens, revealing their nervous feelings. Yulhee stated, "I’m a bit worried because of my knee injury, but as long as I’m cautious about that, I think I can finish the race," while Sleepy pledged, "I absolutely won’t lose." Bang Eun-hee, who has a cervical disc issue, came prepared with a neck brace, saying, "It’s my first time doing a 10km, but I’m going to get it done!" Choi Jun-seok remarked, "I’m more nervous than when I was playing baseball," and Yang Jun-hyuk expressed, "It’s a moment of life and death," revealing their tension.

Soon after, the 'starting whistle' blew, and the 'Duisan Crew' took off vigorously. However, soon after, Yang Jun-hyuk looked around and said, "I can’t do this at all," deviating from the route. Attention is now focused on why Yang Jun-hyuk took such unexpected action during the marathon and whether the 'Duisan Crew' can all finish the '10km marathon.'

The sweat-soaked growth journey of the 'novice runners' will be revealed in the MBN 30th anniversary special program 'You Have to Run,' airing every Saturday at 8:20 p.m.
