Singer Nam Taehyun's comeback stage has been canceled.
On the 4th, the organizers of 'K-Pop Week in Hongdae' told OSEN, "It is true that Nam Taehyun's performance, scheduled for the 6th, has been canceled. We are currently processing refunds."
'K-Pop Week in Hongdae' is a music festival held at various small theaters near Hongdae from May 1 to 11, including K-Pop Stage, Sang Sang Madang, Musinsa Garage, and H Stage. Under the slogan "Closer, More Sincerely," it aims for close interaction between fans and artists.
Nam Taehyun was preparing for his first comeback performance after the drug controversy; however, unfortunately, the performance was canceled.
Meanwhile, Nam Taehyun debuted in 2014 with the group Winner but left after two years. He then left his agency and has been active in the band South Club.
Nam Taehyun was indicted on charges of using methamphetamine with Seominjae at his home in Yongsan, Seoul, in August 2022 and for using methamphetamine alone overseas in December that same year. The court later sentenced Nam Taehyun to one year in prison, suspended for two years.
