Former MBC announcer Lee Seong-bae mentioned his future plans.
On the 2nd, Lee Seong-bae posted a lengthy article titled "Spokesperson Hong Joon-pyo, preparing to start again at the end of that road" on his SNS.
Lee stated, "There is someone who has allowed me, who looked at politics from a distance, to stand in the midst of politics." He elaborated, "It has been my infinite honor and an unforgettable responsibility to be able to accompany you in your last challenge and final mission. And the fact that I was the last spokesperson for that journey was a great honor for me."
He also noted, "The time I spent as a spokesperson in the camp was a time when I learned the weight of politics, the responsibility of words, and the complexity of relationships with my whole body. Above all, I was able to firmly embed in my heart the hope that a politics where sincerity comes before any words is possible."
He added, "Although this primary has stopped here, the memories and people I shared the name 'Spokesperson Hong Joon-pyo' with, as well as the spirit, will remain as a precious asset at the beginning of my political life. I will quietly, yet firmly, continue the spirit of the candidate who sought to rebuild conservatism more fiercely than anyone else."
Announcer Lee Seong-bae joined MBC in 2008 and made a name for himself through programs such as 'Section TV Entertainment Communication,' 'Real Men,' 'Complaint Zero UP,' 'Live Today Morning,' 'Before Sunrise with Lee Seong-bae,' and 'The Morning That Opens the World with Lee Seong-bae.'
However, on the 14th of last month, he left MBC after 17 years and joined the presidential primary camp of former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo. However, Hong was eliminated from the People Power Party presidential primary and declared his retirement from politics, leading to the disbandment of the primary camp. The news of Hong's retirement from politics caused a stir, as Lee Seong-bae was seen shedding tears.

[Spokesperson Hong Joon-pyo Lee Seong-bae,
preparing to start again at the end of that road]
There is someone who has allowed me, who looked at politics from a distance,
to stand in the midst of politics.
Candidate Hong Joon-pyo.
And countless young people and supporters who supported and ran alongside him.
It has been my infinite honor and an unforgettable responsibility
to be able to accompany you in your last challenge and final mission.
And the fact that I was the last spokesperson for that journey
was a great honor for me, and an unforgettable responsibility.
The time I spent as a spokesperson in the camp was
a time when I learned the weight of politics, the responsibility of words, and the complexity of relationships
with my whole body.
Above all,
I was able to deeply engrave in my heart the hope that politics
where sincerity comes before any words is possible.
Although this primary has stopped here,
the memories and people I shared the name "Spokesperson Hong Joon-pyo" with, as well as the spirit,
will remain as a precious asset at the beginning of my political life.
I will quietly, yet firmly, continue the spirit of the candidate
who sought to rebuild conservatism more fiercely than anyone else.
The potential of the youth that he believed in,
and the direction of politics that moves through structure rather than words.
Now I will also carry on that intention and contemplate the next steps.
I will not stop questioning myself today.
Lee Seong-bae, dreaming.
