Newbeat has taken its first step toward completing a 100km journey.

The group Newbeat (NEWBEAT, Park Min-seok, Hong Min-seong, Jeon Yeo-jeong, Choi Seo-hyun, Kim Taeyang, Jo Yoon-hoo, Kim Ri-woo) unveiled the first episode of its original content 'NEWBIETRAP' on its official YouTube channel at 6 p.m. on the 2nd.

Having previously decided to name its original content 'Newbeattrip' during a meeting, Newbeat expressed excitement as it prepares for its journey. The production team said, "Welcome to 'Newbeattrip'," and added, "This is a reward for Newbeat, who has been working hard for their debut. Just enjoy yourselves." This piqued interest.

Upon arriving at the accommodation, Newbeat headed to the sledding hill before even unpacking properly, enjoying a dynamic time until sunset. In particular, Yeo-jeong revealed her warmth, saying, "It makes me happy to see everyone enjoying themselves."

Later, Newbeat enjoyed a debut celebration dinner prepared by the production team. Ri-woo expressed overwhelming emotions, saying, "I feel like crying" at the thoughtful feast. The members created a scene reminiscent of a mukbang, and Taeyang, who had been looking forward to the meal since morning, said, "It’s really delicious. How long has it been since I’ve had this?" while also wondering, "Did the fitness instructor approve this?" showcasing his professional idol demeanor.

After the relaxed dinner, Newbeat collectively expressed satisfaction with the trip. However, the dreamlike time was abruptly interrupted by the production team, shattering their excitement within a day. It turned out that 'Newbeattrip' was a foundation for 'NEWBIETRAP', with the real journey to escape the trap beginning, drawing attention.

The mission card handed out by the production team instructed them to walk home to the company. With a distance of a staggering 100km, a special reward is promised for success, while failure carries a tremendous penalty, heightening curiosity. The members could not hide their feelings of betrayal and disappointment, and leader Min-seok humorously noted, "That’s why we were given a vacation" as he pointed out the true meaning of the trip, eliciting laughter.

Furthermore, the agency supported Newbeat with a gift of an iPod, a must-have emotional item from the '90s, which includes music reflecting their tastes. There is great anticipation about whether Newbeat will overcome the crisis and successfully complete the mission.
