In 'Haunted Palace,' Yoo Seong-jae began to feel excitement towards Kim Ji-yeon.

In the 5th episode of the SBS weekend drama 'Haunted Palace' (written by Yoon Soo-jung/ directed by Yoon Sung-sik), Kang Cheol (played by Yoo Seong-jae) was depicted feeling excitement towards Yeori (played by Kim Ji-yeon).

That day, as Kang Cheol was heading back to the palace, he felt excitement upon seeing Yeori wipe her sweat. Surprised at himself, he murmured, "If you don't see it, emotions and desires won’t arise either."

When Yeori approached and asked, "What are you doing? Are you chanting because you visited a temple?" Kang Cheol replied, "Why does a wicked person commit so many sins? I was just contemplating from the perspective of my body." He added, "The human body itself is the problem and the source of sins. All these things prompt desire, causing numerous sins to be committed."

At that moment, the royal guard Seo Jaeyeol (played by Han Min) appeared, and the two fled from him. Then, they hid in the flower palanquin that Choi In-seon (played by Shin Seul-ki) was riding, and the two found themselves sitting face to face in the narrow space.

As Yeori approached to check the situation outside, Kang Cheol said, "It's suffocating," and Yeori covered his mouth. Surprised, Kang Cheol gazed at Yeori's face and, upon making eye contact, couldn't suppress his feelings and raised his hand to his lips.

Afterward, as Kang Cheol continued to feel a tremor towards Yeori, he said, "Do not come near me within ten steps from now on," and moved away. He expressed his confusion, saying, "Why is this happening? Just being near her makes me want to fiercely devour something from within. Why is this happening?"

Yeori also said, "As if dealing with a person afflicted by a plague at that time," but recalling what happened in the palanquin, she added, "Oh, it's confusing; I'm confusing you with Yun Gap-nari."
