Seohyun, a member of Girls' Generation and actress, revealed that she has been keeping in touch with her older sisters despite her busy schedule.
On the 2nd, a video titled "I'll do everything for you! The youngest Seohyun who caught the "sister disease" was uploaded to Hyeri's YouTube channel.
On that day, Seohyun appeared as a guest at 'Hyel's club' to discuss her return in the movie "Holy Night: Demon Hunters" (directed by Lim Dae-hee).
Seohyun said, "I used to be like that but I realized it. So, I started speaking casually with my sisters." Hyeri wondered, "It must have been difficult to suddenly speak casually after always using honorifics since elementary school," and Seohyun shared, "Some time ago, my sisters told me to speak casually, but I felt so uncomfortable that I said, 'Oh, it's okay, I'll just use honorifics.' But while working on a project, there was a senior with whom I was set as the same age. I had to act casually, and the senior told me, 'Just be comfortable in your everyday interactions, it will help your acting.' It became comfortable after that."
He explained, "When I started speaking casually, I realized there was a different sense of intimacy. That's why I think of my sisters. In fact, I am closer to them, but to other people, it seems like I'm keeping my distance from my sisters. At that moment, there was a day when we all gathered together, and Yuri first said, 'How long are you going to keep using honorifics? You can speak casually now,' and I would usually say, 'No,' but this time I asked, 'So can I do it?"
Hearing this, Hyeri was surprised, saying, "Our Seohyun has changed," and Seohyun joked, "Of course, I've changed for a long time." She continued, "So, I'm doing the 'cure' just like Hyeri. Because we've decided to speak casually with each other, but we can't meet often," and Hyeri nodded, adding, "Right, because we are busy."
Seohyun mentioned, "Since we can't meet face to face, I've started to speak casually with the sisters in private chats. I'm slowly getting used to it, I've almost done it halfway. Only halfway remains," adding, "But it feels good. Originally, if I would say, 'Sister, please try this,' now I can say, 'Sister, try this,' which feels different."
Hyeri showed curiosity, asking, "Who have you started speaking casually to?" Seohyun replied, "Hyoyeon, Yuri, Tiffany, and Sooyoung. For Sunny, I mixed a bit in the chat room. I wrote, 'Sisters, I'm doing this, please come,' and then someone said, 'Why are you subtly speaking honorifically again?' So I said, 'Oh, I see'.
She then said, "It's nice that I can be more charming. When I meet my sisters, I feel like I'm always going back to my past self. It's like going back to the Seohyun I was at around 17 years old. It's like being transported back to middle school when I meet friends from middle school, or back to elementary school when I meet friends from elementary school."
Meanwhile, Sunny left SM Entertainment in 2023 after her exclusive contract expired. Recently, it has been reported that she signed a contract with A2O Entertainment, which was newly established by producer Lee Soo-man, who is also her uncle. In a training camp video released last month featuring A2O Entertainment trainees, Sunny was seen directing the trainees' recordings.
Subsequently, A2O Entertainment announced, "Sunny has recently completed her contract with A2O Entertainment. She is currently undergoing production training under producer Yoo Young-jin," adding, "She is also designing training programs for A2O trainees while providing psychological care. She participates in filming video content and is involved in styling and choreography guidance."
