Actors Shin Go-eun and Yoon Jong-hwa announced their divorce after three years of marriage.

Shin Go-eun posted on her Instagram on 1st, saying, "I have been thinking for a long time whether I should write this or not," and noted, "Many people are curious, and I feel like I need to let you know about this part of my life, so I’m posting a short message."

Shin Go-eun continued, "It has been almost six months since we ended our three years of marriage and have been living our own lives. Our values and personalities were very different, and despite our efforts, it didn’t work out. Moving forward, both of us decided to live our lives more diligently and to the best of our abilities in our respective places."

She added, "I feel very sorry to convey this news to those who have shown interest and offered their blessings," and expressed, "Please take care in this weather with significant temperature differences, and I hope you have good days."

Shin Go-eun and Yoon Jong-hwa became connected through the MBC daily drama "Bad Love" in 2019. They developed their relationship into a romantic one right after the drama ended in June 2020. The couple, who got married in May 2021, faced separation after three years of marriage.

Shin Go-eun debuted as a singer in 2011 and gained recognition for her singing ability, starting with the musical "Goong," followed by roles in productions such as "The Days," "Laundry," and "I Loved You." She took lead roles in dramas starting with "The Lady in Dignity" in 2018, and later in "Gangnam Scandal" and "Bad Love."

Yoon Jong-hwa, the brother of news anchor Yoon Hyun-jin, debuted in 2005 with the MBC drama "Love Song" and appeared in shows such as "Air City," "Bibimbap of Gems," "The World They Live In," and "You Are Too Much." In 2015, while filming the MBC drama "Love of Eve," he was abruptly diagnosed with spinal cancer but made a return to the drama "THE K2" a year after being fully cured. He has since acted in productions such as "Imong" and "Bad Love."
