Singer Kim Jong-kook has purchased a luxury villa in Gangnam's Nonhyeon-dong, measuring over 70 pyeong, for 6.2 billion won in cash.
According to the real estate industry and the Supreme Court registry office, Kim Jong-kook acquired the Nonhyeon Apelbaum 2nd (with an exclusive area of 243 square meters) located in Gangnam last month for 6.2 billion won and reportedly completed the registration on the same day. Above all, it is speculated that the villa Kim Jong-kook purchased was done so entirely in cash, as there is no mortgage established on the property.
Kim Jong-kook is reported to have purchased the luxury villa for personal residence purposes, and he is currently living in 'Acro Hills Nonhyeon' in Nonhyeon-dong, with plans to move to the new house by June.
Reports indicate that the 'Nonhyeon Apelbaum' purchased by Kim Jong-kook is a townhouse-style luxury villa developed in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, with a total of 76 units when combining both the first and second phases. The exterior is equipped with five layers of detection sensors, and approximately 180 CCTV cameras are placed throughout the property, making it popular among stars and corporations who prioritize privacy. It is known that actors Jang Geun-suk and Lee Yo-won reside in the villa.
While Kim Jong-kook bought the villa for 6.2 billion won in cash, earlier, Yoo Jae-suk also drew attention by purchasing Brighton N40 in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, for about 8.7 billion won in cash without a loan, and Lee Hyori made headlines when she bought a detached house in Pyeongchang-dong for 6 billion won in cash.
Yoo Jae-suk lived in a rented APT. in Apgujeong for over 15 years before officially moving to Brighton N40 located in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, last May. He sold this APT. for an astonishing 8.66657 billion won, acquiring it entirely in cash without a loan, which became a significant issue. The unit is a penthouse with an exclusive area of 199 square meters, consisting of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. Additionally, this APT. offers excellent security, has a resident butler in the building, and provides luxury hotel services. Actress Han Hyo-joo also resides in the same APT., making her a neighbor of Yoo Jae-suk.
Lee Hyori also moved to Seoul after settling down with her husband, Lee Sang-soon, in Jeju last year, purchasing all her dwellings in affluent neighborhoods in cash. After marrying, he lived in Jeju with Lee Sang-soon for 11 years, but they have now established a new home in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul.
The couple previously purchased a detached dwelling and an adjacent plot in Pyeongchang-dong for 6.0501 billion won in cash in August 2023. Lee Hyori holds three-quarters of the equity, while Lee Sang-soon owns the remaining quarter. The dwelling, with a total area of approximately 330 square meters (about 100 pyeong), consists of one basement level and two above-ground levels, and Pyeongchang-dong is regarded as a traditional affluent neighborhood in Seoul.
