The group i-dle has confirmed a full group comeback on May 19.
CUBE Entertainment announced on the 2nd through the official SNS channel of i-dle (Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Yuqi, Shuhua) that they released the video 'for (G).'
In the video, the members danced and laughed while being showered with wine alongside people dressed in black robes, mourning 'G,' with whom they had been together. After everyone left, only the burnt coffin of G remained, and the sound of singing the lyrics of their debut song 'LATATA,' "Who cares?" followed.
Along with this, the members announced the release of their 8th mini album. The video features a challenging message toward a new beginning after parting with 'G.' At the end of the video, significant dates such as May 5, 6, 9, 14, 16, and 19 appeared, arousing curiosity, starting with the phrase '8th Mini Album.'
The pre-orders for i-dle's 8th mini album have also started. This album will be available in three versions, and those who pre-order the album version and CD version will receive one poster. Notably, a photo album that does not include a CD will also be released, allowing fans to enjoy various digital content through a QR code, enhancing its collectible value.
To celebrate their 7th anniversary, the members changed the group's name from '(G)I-DLE' to 'i-dle.' All members re-signed with CUBE Entertainment last December, and they plan to show even more limitless music and concepts by removing the words 'Girl' and 'G' from the group name they had since debuting together on May 2, 2018. The name change particularly topped the real-time search rankings on Chinese Weibo, proving i-dle's domestic and international influence.
Ahead of their comeback on May 19, the members will reach out to fans through various content.
