(Following Interview 1) Actor Ryeo Un shared his thoughts on acting in a school uniform.

On the 1st, an interview with Ryeo Un, the main actor of the Netflix series ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, took place at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.

‘Weak Hero Class 2’ depicts the intense struggle and brilliant growth story of model student Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon), who transferred to Eunjang High School with the trauma of having faced violence for a friend, yet ultimately unable to protect them, determined not to lose another friend by facing even greater violence.

Ryeo Un, who plays the righteous leader ‘Baku’ Park Hu-min in the Netflix series ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, which was released on the 25th of last month, shared his thoughts on ‘acting in a school uniform’.

When asked, ‘Were you not worried it might seem like a story for adults?’ he said, “After all, there is the device of a school uniform, and there are things we can show as students. I don’t think I thought that far.” However, when asked if he has aspirations for future roles in school uniforms, he humorously replied, “I think this is about it for me. It doesn’t seem feasible anymore.”

He continued, “At the time of filming, I had just joined the project shortly after ‘Sparkling Watermelon’, so I thought, ‘Is it still okay for (the school uniform)?’ However, after seeing the results, both Min-young and the younger friends are there. Even the supporting actors are actually young, and the difference stands out starkly. It’s as if I’ve become a homeroom teacher. Now, I feel it might be difficult.”

However, regarding his desire for a season 3, he smiled and said, “If that happens, I would be very grateful.” He added, “The director hasn’t given any specific hints, but if it happens, I personally hope that Class 3 would be a little more peaceful, yet I feel like it might be tumultuous.”

He further explained, “I think Baku will get closer to Suho after season 2. I believe they would have all become friends, but Baku might still have some difficulties. From Baku’s perspective, it seems that rather than having resolved things, he finished season 2 still with a buildup of guilt. The resolutions might be depicted in season 3, yet still, I feel that Baku will cheerfully navigate through things.”
