(Following interview②) Actor Ryeo Un conveyed the atmosphere on the set of ‘Weak Hero 2’.

On the 1st at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, an interview with Ryeo Un, the lead actor of the Netflix series ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, was conducted.

‘Weak Hero Class 2’ depicts the harrowing survival and brilliant growth story of a model student, Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon), who transferred to the Eunjang High School carrying the trauma of having fought against violence for his friend but ultimately failing to protect them, facing even greater violence to ensure he never loses a friend again.

Ryeo Un played the role of the righteous leader ‘Baku’ Park Hu-min in the Netflix series ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, which was released on the 25th of last month, showcasing great chemistry with fellow actors.

On that day, Ryeo Un said about the atmosphere on set, “The atmosphere was really good. It felt like a real boys' high school. Since we all really like each other and share a strong bond, we even went to the set to cheer each other on, even on days when we weren’t filming. For instance, on the day of a fight scene, Min-young (the character played by Jun-tae) came from Daejeon to show support, even though he was not filming that day. We joked around a lot and were really close in real life.”

He continued, “Before filming, the actors met for reading sessions and had many gatherings to become more comfortable with each other,” adding, “We also have a group chat. But lately, it’s been quieter than expected. No one seems to be chatting much. If there is another group chat without me included, I would feel upset.”

He also mentioned his chemistry with Park Ji-hoon, saying, “It’s no joke. Before the camera rolls, he is a really funny friend. When we interact, he’s great, but when the camera starts rolling, his eyes completely change. I thought, ‘What an amazing friend he is.’” He added, “I tried to build a deeper bond during our scenes together, and while acting with Si-eun, he gives off an energy that really makes me focus more.”

In particular, when asked who his favorite character in the ‘Weak Hero’ universe is, he pointed to Geum Seong-jae (played by Lee Jun-young), noting, “It’s no joke. Watching him, it’s really like a man’s romance. My brother Jun-young portrayed it very well. I believe that only Lee Jun-young can play Geum Seong-jae in Korea. He’s a romantic guy, free-spirited, and seems sexy and charming. I was on Geum Seong-jae’s side while reading the original work,” and added with a laugh, “Honestly, I can hear the wind from his punch. He’s been practicing MMA for a long time. His punches are so fast that you can’t even see them. I felt relieved that I didn’t have a scene with my brother Jun-young.”
