The production company of the country’s first female same-sex reality entertainment program, 'Your Love,' recently commented on the controversy over social media disputes among participants, stating, "This issue is currently based on circumstantial speculation without any clearly proven content, and the production team does not wish for negative public sentiment to expand due to this." However, it noted that if clear evidence is confirmed later, it will respond strongly and take action.

Display Company, the production company of 'Your Love' on Wave, expressed on its official Instagram on the 1st, "We sincerely thank everyone who has supported and watched us. We deeply apologize for any concern caused by various issues related to the program."

The recent social media dispute arose between program participants Ri Won (Kim Ri Won) and Han Gyeol (Jeong Han Gyeol) on Instagram. Previously, Ri Won was suspected of being a heterosexual due to her background as a BJ who conducted 'beotbang' (internet adult broadcasts where participants undress). Subsequently, on the 29th of last month, Ri Won acknowledged both her 'beotbang' BJ activities and her romantic relationship with a male individual, offering an apology.

Afterward, Han Gyeol claimed through her Instagram the next day that she had received inappropriate overseas proposals from Ri Won, which triggered the dispute. In response, Ri Won asserted via Instagram, "The content of the story posted by the other participant is not true."

In this regard, the production company stated, "We clearly say regarding the rumors spreading, particularly in the community and some media, that 'the production team knew the participants' pasts before casting them.' This claim is not true. The production team has never proceeded with casting participants based on inappropriate issues or specific intentions, nor through inappropriate routes."

Moreover, the production company explained, "There were suspicions raised internally regarding the participants' past broadcast activities. We verified the evidence presented as proof of these suspicions, but confirmed that the materials found at that time had no relation to the participants, and the participant firmly denied the suspicions during the interview process."

It added, "As a result, we did not deem the suspicions to be fact at that time, and the recently disclosed materials represent a separate new context the participant has acknowledged, unrelated to the materials confirmed previously."

In particular, regarding the suspicion that the participant recently suggested inappropriate foreign travel, the production company remarked, "This matter was confirmed through a multilateral face-to-face meeting in early April right after the initial suspicion arose, but at that time, the party involved firmly denied it. The production team can only rely on the participant's explanation and position as there is no clearly proven material."

The production company also announced its future production direction. They stated, "The production team will maintain the flow of the program based on actual situations and emotional lines that occurred during the filming period, but in the editing process for subsequent episodes, we aim to humbly accept various opinions and critical sentiments from viewers, ensuring not to distort the narrative and emotions."

It further noted, "This decision was made considering both the consistency and completeness of the program, and we plan to take a break to restructure and will not air episodes 3 and 4 scheduled for Friday, May 2, in order to review and coordinate internally," adding, "We will maintain a balance of editing that listens to diverse voices while keeping our core."
