The trending group TWS (Tourus) will officially debut in Japan in July and spend a hot summer.
TWS (Shin Yu, Do-hoon, Young-jae, Hanjin Logistics, Ji-hoon, Kyung-min) announced on their official SNS at midnight on the 1st that their Japanese debut single "はじめまして (Hajimemashite)" will be released on July 2. The single logo, released alongside, is expected to create a fresh first meeting with local fans, reflecting the album title, which means "Nice to meet you."
The debut single will include a total of three songs, including an original song from Japan. The agency Pledis Entertainment noted, "It is a work that encapsulates the excitement and sparkle that everyone experiences at least once, allowing one to feel the specialness in daily life like summer memories. You will get a glimpse of the refreshing and vibrant charm of TWS."
TWS's popularity in Japan is already remarkable. Their first single "Last Bell" exceeded 100,000 copies in cumulative shipments in December 2024, the month of its release, and received the Gold Disk certification from the Japan Record Association. The mini album "TRY WITH US," released on the 21st of last month, reached No. 2 on the latest Oricon weekly album ranking (as of May 5/counting period April 21–27).
Local ticket power is also considerable. TWS's first fan meeting "2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN JAPAN," held at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza Main Arena in Tokyo on March 15–16, sold out all three performances. A total of over 30,000 fans gathered at the venue, proving the interest in them. A pop-up store commemorating the fan meeting experienced a rush, with all time slots selling out just 20 minutes after the reservation page opened.
Meanwhile, TWS, active with their mini album "TRY WITH US," continues their unstoppable popularity thanks to their distinctive refreshing sound. The title track "Isn't it cool to jump according to your heart?" achieved the dual honor of ranking No. 1 on SBS M, SBS funE's "The Show" and MBC M, MBC every1's "Show! Champion."
