Gang Won-rae of Clon was denied assistance at a self-service gas station.

Gang Won-rae said on the 1st, “I am paralyzed from the waist down, but thanks to assistive devices, I drive myself without much inconvenience. However, when I go to a self-service gas station, I have to ask the station staff for help because I cannot reach the fuel tank while in my wheelchair.”

He added, “Having received assistance for nearly 20 years to fill up my gas, today I was denied help for the first time. It would have been sufficient if they could spare a little time. For the sake of people living with discomfort their whole lives, I wish they would have offered just 5 minutes of help. It would also be great if self-service gas stations could provide delivery.”

He also added, “Thank you to the restaurant staff who brought bibimbap to my car even in the rain.” Furthermore, he made a remark saying, “Please don’t do business.”

Along with this, he shared photos showing him unable to get out of the self-service gas station, gazing from inside the car, as well as pictures of him eating bibimbap inside the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Gang Won-rae was involved in a traffic accident in 2000 when a vehicle making an illegal U-turn collided with his motorcycle. As a result of this accident, he was diagnosed with paralysis from the waist down, and he has been living a life using a wheelchair since then.
