Actor Yoon Jong-hwa, the brother of SBS anchor Yoon Hyun-jin, and Shin Go-eun have put a period on their marriage after three years.

Shin Go-eun said on the 1st, "I have struggled for a long time on whether I should write this post. Many are curious, and I feel that I should share this part of my life moving forward, so I am posting a short message."

She added, "It has been almost half a year since we ended our three years of marriage and started living our own lives. Our values and personalities were very different, and despite many efforts, things did not work out," sharing the news of their separation.

She also mentioned, "Moving forward, both of us have decided to live diligently and do our best in our own places," and added, "I feel very sorry to share this news with those who have shown interest and offered blessings."

Shin Go-eun and Yoon Jong-hwa met in 2019 while working together on the MBC daily drama "Bad Love." After the end of the drama, they naturally developed into a romantic relationship starting from June 2020, nurturing their love for about a year before deciding to get married.

Until just before their marriage, the two confirmed each other's good character over nearly a year while acting together in the same drama and built trust after realizing that their values matched.

Shin Go-eun and Yoon Jong-hwa became the second couple from "Bad Love," following actors Jeon Seung-bin and Shim Eun-jin. However, after more than three years, they decided to part ways and divorced. Now, half a year after their divorce, they are sharing this news, evoking sadness.

Shin Go-eun debuted as a singer in 2011. She later performed on stage in musicals such as "The Palace," "Those Days," "Laundry," and "I Loved You," and started appearing in dramas including "The Lady in Dignity," "Gangnam Scandal," "Bad Love," and "The Secret Woman" beginning in 2018.

Yoon Jong-hwa debuted in the 2005 MBC drama "Love Song" and has appeared in dramas such as "Air City," "Jewel Banchan," "The World They Live In," and "You Are Too Much." In 2015, during the filming of the MBC drama "Love of Eve," he was suddenly diagnosed with spinal cancer but returned to acting in the drama "THE K2" after a year of complete recovery. He has been actively involved in a range of dramas, including "Imong" and "Bad Love."
