The group Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) opens a new chapter with their 5th studio album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY.'

Seventeen will release their 5th studio album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' on May 26 and make a comeback. This album has even more special significance as it coincides with their 10th debut anniversary.

Debuting in 2015 as a 13-member group, they paved the way for 'self-producing' and rose to the position of 'top group in K-pop.' Seventeen's past has been filled with challenges. Known in their early days as 'refreshing idols,' they absorbed various genres such as pop, EDM, hip-hop, and rock, receiving praise for 'constantly evolving while maintaining their identity' (Billboard).

Furthermore, Seventeen has proven their limitless spectrum through diverse unit activities, including the unique units consisting of a hip-hop team, performance team, and vocal team, as well as mix units where members freely combine, and special units like BSS (Seungkwan, Dokyeom, Hoshi), JeonghanXWonwoo, HoshiXWoozi. The individuality and capabilities of each member showcased through solo tracks, albums, mixtapes, and drama OSTs are also remarkable.

The challenge toward new stages has continued. Seventeen became the first K-pop artist to perform on the main stages of the UK's Glastonbury Festival and Mexico's Tecate Pa'l Norte, solidifying their status as a global top-tier artist. Their appearance at Lollapalooza Berlin last year also garnered a warm response from music fans in Europe.

'HAPPY BURSTDAY,' which will be released on the 26th of next month, is an album that embodies Seventeen's changes and challenges, attracting the expectation of K-pop fans around the world. The album's name combines the birthday celebration phrase 'Happy Birthday' with the English words for eruption, explosion, and beginning, showing the members' determination to be reborn as a new Seventeen.

Since the release date of the 5th studio album coincides with Seventeen's 10th debut anniversary, a grand birthday party has also been arranged. They have announced a 'BURST Stage' in Seoul's Jamsu Bridge, along with a 'B-DAY PARTY' over three days from the 23rd to the 25th. Before this, videos produced from the perspective of invited CARATs (their fandom) have been released, increasing fans' immersion.

Today (1st), Seventeen raises expectations for their comeback by consecutively unveiling concept photos and films of the 'NEW ESCAPE' version. Their agency, Pledis Entertainment, noted, 'HAPPY BURSTDAY is an album that shows a turning point for Seventeen,' adding, 'We ask for a lot of interest and anticipation for their journey, which will be filled with various challenges.'
