The band Jannabi expressed gratitude to many as they returned with their fourth regular album.
Jannabi released their fourth regular album 'Sound of Music pt.1' on the 28th of last month. Subsequently, leader Choi Jeong-hoon conveyed heartfelt thanks to fans, staff, and collaborators through his personal Instagram, filling not only with music but also with touching stories behind it.
First, Choi Jeong-hoon said, "We are timid and cowardly, so we need compliments to care for us," expressing his sincerity wrapped in his unique wit. He continued, "Exciting things are still waiting in our musical journey, and this moment was one of them," calmly confessing how 'Sound of Music pt.1' was born from the efforts and love of so many.
In this recent social media post, the names of all collaborators, including mix engineers, mastering technicians, cover art designers, music video directors, stylists, and teaser editors, appeared without omission alongside the drum, BASS, keyboard, chorus, and orchestral session heroes. This made it clear that the musical world Jannabi has built is not just a simple result but a long journey filled with the stories of those who were involved.
Special thanks were also conveyed to Karina from aespa, who featured on the title track 'In the Name of Love!' Choi Jeong-hoon noted, "Even amidst a busy schedule, watching her sing each line with sincerity for a long time touched both Dong-hyung and me," adding, "I will wholeheartedly support her future activities."
Choi Jeong-hoon also remarked, "Those moments were fantastical moments I will never forget while making music," expressing his hope to someday share this in front of many.
The title track 'In the Name of Love!' captures the precise emotions of loving each other for a brief moment and the preciousness of that moment. Upon release, it quickly entered the upper ranks of the Melon HOT100 (as of 30 days after release) and Bugs real-time charts, signaling its success. Fans reacted with comments such as "a romantic fantasy song for early summer," "the harmony of Jannabi and Karina's voices is the best," and "it's an unexpected combination, but perfect synergy," becoming engrossed in the album's emotion.
Meanwhile, Jannabi will hold their solo concert 'All Boys and Girls 2025' in the second week on the 3rd and 4th at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul. After that, they will tour the Gwangju Universiade Gymnasium on June 14 and 15 and Daegu EXCO on June 28 and 29, delivering the message that "music is reality, not fantasy."
