In 'Weak Hero Class 2', Bae Nara was the variable itself.

The Netflix series 'Weak Hero Class 2', released on the 25th (written by Park Hyun-woo and Yoo Su-min, directed by Yoo Su-min, and planned by Han Jun-hee), tells the story of a model student, Yeon Si-eun, who transferred to Eunjang High School carrying the trauma of having fought violence for a friend but ultimately unable to protect them. She confronts even greater violence to ensure she never loses another friend, portraying a desperate survival story and brilliant coming-of-age tale.

Bae Nara plays the role of the leader of the alliance, Na Baek-jin, in the series. Na Baek-jin is usually a model student living a proper life, but secretly he is the leader of the alliance, adept at forming a gigantic cartel and manipulating people. He can suppress opponents with quick judgment and skillfully exploit their weaknesses to create situations that suit him. However, beneath it all is a lonely boy struggling with emptiness. The past that is not overtly revealed and his relationship with Park Hu-min (played by Ryeo-woon) become clearer, evoking the viewer's sympathy and creating a villain that cannot be hated.

Bae Nara excited viewers with high synchronicity to the original character from the moment his casting was announced. Following expectations, after 'Weak Hero Class 2' was released, positive reviews continued. In particular, from his first appearance, Bae Nara captured attention with clean, crisp action and added weight to the story with a gaze that exudes pressure. His solid acting skills significantly helped in expressing the character.

It's not surprising. Bae Nara previously portrayed the unique character Jang Seong-min in the 2023 Netflix series 'D.P. Season 2'. Jang Seong-min, who has a talent for singing, experiences severe bullying in the military due to his sexual orientation and ultimately deserts. Bae Nara expressed the character Nina in the play 'The Seagull' with rich emotions and delicate acting, receiving viewer acclaim. Additionally, the scene where he sang 'Wig In A Box' from the musical Hedwig deeply touched audiences and became a topic on social media, garnering praise from the original creator, John Cameron Mitchell.

From Jang Seong-min to Na Baek-jin, Bae Nara has shown a distinct presence in every work with unique characters, and he is expected to continuously develop his own distinct character color. In the upcoming Genie TV original 'Tastefully Yours', premiering on May 12, he will meet the public as Han Seon-woo, who engages in fierce competition with his younger brother, Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), over the management rights of a food corporation. Attention is drawn to how Bae Nara, perfectly transformed into a senior executive of a large corporation, will expand his world with fresh charm.
