Director Park Hee-gon, known for films such as 'Perfect Game' and 'Target,' has passed away.
According to OSEN's report on the 30th, Director Park Hee-gon died today at the age of 56.
Born in 1969, Director Park Hee-gon graduated from Kyungwon University with a degree in English literature and entered the advertising industry after winning the Daesang at a national college student advertising competition. After studying abroad, he also transformed into a music video director.
Later, Director Park Hee-gon entered the film industry and, after immersing himself in scriptwriting, presented 'Insa-dong Scandal' after nine years. He then met the audience again with 'Perfect Game,' about the legendary Korean professional baseball pitchers Choi Dong-won and Seo Dong-ryul’s showdown, and 'Myeong-dong,' which depicts a power struggle based on geomancy.
In 2023, he met the audience again after about five years with 'Target' following 'Myeong-dong.' 'Target' is a work depicting the process in which an office worker named Soo-hyun (Shin Hye-sun), who fell victim to a secondhand transaction scam, suffers retaliation from the scammer, featuring actors Shin Hye-sun, Kim Sung-kyun, and Lim Seong-jae.
Meanwhile, the deceased's mortuary has been set up at Myungji Hospital funeral hall in Deogyang-gu, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province.
