Lee Jun-young of '24 Hour Health Club' is taking on a comedic role.

On the 29th, a production briefing for the KBS2 new Wednesday-Thursday drama '24 Hour Health Club' (written by Kim Ji-soo, directed by Park Jun-soo and Choi Yeon-soo) was held at The Saint in Guro District, Seoul.

'24 Hour Health Club' is a two-thrilling muscle growth comedy in which a passionate health enthusiast gym director Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Jun-young) drastically corrects the lives of overly anxious gym newcomers. Director Park Jun-soo, who has been recognized for his directing skills through 'Gauss Electronics' and 'The God of Music,' and writer Kim Ji-soo, who showcased delicate writing in 'Postnatal Care Center,' have teamed up in a cheerful collaboration.

Lee Jun-young plays the role of gym director Do Hyun-jung, a passionate health enthusiast known for his strong muscle growth. Born smaller than a 1.5 kg dumbbell, he rewrote his life through exercise alone. He engages in a fierce survival game between being a self-employed person and a trainer.

Lee Jun-young said, "Do Hyun-jung needs to have knowledge that bodybuilders should know, so I studied a lot. It was different from the exercises I usually did. I came to realize how amazing and fierce athletes live. Before starting this project, I had compromised a lot on exercise, but after completing this project, I believe that 'ultimately, I will be happy and smiling' and became less afraid of working out." He continued, "I needed to bulk up for this project. I exercised whenever I had free time and managed my diet. Since the set is a gym, I also worked out during filming breaks."

Recently, Lee Jun-young has been continuing his prime with 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' and 'Weak Hero Class 2.' Lee Jun-young noted, "I'm surprised and thankful that things are going well, but people say that compared to the previous two works, they can see that I can do comedy. I'm looking forward to it," adding, "I, Lee Jun-young, am quite funny."

The KBS2 new Wednesday-Thursday drama '24 Hour Health Club' will premiere on the 30th at 9:50 p.m.
